2025 Bahrain GP Preview and Betting Odds

This weekend, the top class of motorsport will be in action with the Bahrain GP as the second stop of three consecutive weekends of racing in the Formula One.

The 2025 Formula One season began on a positive note. Following Max Verstappen’s victory in Suzuka, four different drivers reached the top of the podium in the previous three Grand Prix races: Lando Norris won the Australian GP, Lewis Hamilton secured the top spot in the Chinese sprint, and Oscar Piastri triumphed in the Chinese GP.

The next stop is in Bahrain, where Hamilton has had more success on this track. However, the last three editions were won by Verstappen (2023 and 2024) and Charles Leclerc (2022).

2025 Bahrain GP Circuit Details

The Bahrain GP is located in Sakhir, a desert area of Bahrain where everything is surrounded by sand. Hence, some call it “The Jewel of the Desert.” This Grand Prix is one of the most known and awaited Formula One circuits in the calendar. There are several reasons for this, and one of them is the shape of the track, which makes for a high number of overtaking maneuvers, giving fans a real adrenaline rush on the course.

The rough asphalt is another characteristic of the stage, so the engineers have an extra job: to analyze the exact wear of the tires. Additionally, the arid climate and the dust make the grip on the asphalt more deficient.

With an extension of more than 5 kilometers, the track features 57 Laps, 10 curves, and four straights, which makes overtaking more doable for the drivers. A long main straight stands out here, which forces the racers to reach high speeds, where the agility of the driver and his car are put to the test.

This event has been part of the calendar since 2004, and the construction of the space where the best drivers congregate was built in just over a year.

The weather forecast for Friday on FP1 and FP2 (Free Practice) shows the maximum ambient temperature during the day will be 31 °C and a 4% chance of rain. For the last free practice and Qualifying Session on Saturday, temperatures are expected to be 32°C and a 3% chance of rain.

On Sunday, race day temperatures are expected between 25°C and 30°C with a 3% chance of rain.

In these three days, there is one factor to take into account: the wind. Gusts ranging from 15 to 40km/h are expected in the Bahrein GP.

Bahrein GP Betting Picks

After Max Verstappen’s first win of the Fórmula Uno season in Suzuka, we expect the five-time world champion to make a statement in the Bahrein GP.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will try to show that the McLaren livery remains the fastest car on the grid, but we expect McLaren to struggle with team orders.

Charles Leclerc in Suzuka was showing a good pace. He knows this track perfectly, and it will be no surprise if the Monegasque performs at his maximum in this Grand Prix.
