The Best Contenders – Circuito Banco do Brasil – 2022 Surf – Men’s & Women’s
Top 2 Men’s
- Peterson Crisanto
Brazilian surfer Peterson Crisanto is the clear betting favorite to take victory in this Banco do Brasil Circuit. This is since he comes from a full season of the Championship Tour. There he managed to obtain two very good results. These results were ninth place in the Billabong Pipe Masters presented by Hydro Flask; also in the Boost Mobile Margaret River Pro presented by Corona. So it is expected to be a relatively accessible tournament for him.
This season has not started as he would have liked. He finished in position #49 of the Layback Pro in the QS category.
- Alex Ribeiro
The also Brazilian surfer who comes from a full season in the highest category of surfing worldwide, the Championship Tour, Alex Ribeiro, arrives at this Banco do Brasil Circuit with the mission of achieving a victory that will help him to be part of the CT in this year 2022. Although his performances were not the best, he started the year with everything achieving fifth place in the Layback Pro.
Top 2 Women’s
- Sol Aguirre
The Peruvian Sol Aguirre arrives at this Banco do Brasil Circuit with the mission of asserting her status as a favorite and taking the champion trophy. Sol is a very aggressive young surfer who likes to go to the limit every time she gets on her board. In 2021, Aguirre had the privilege of being in the women’s Challenger Series, but she could not have good results in the 3 events.
- Dominic Barona
Finally, we have the Ecuadorian and another of the favorites to take the victory in this Banco do Brasil Circuit, Dominic Barona. Dominic, like Sol, wants to add as many points as possible in this category, the QS, to try to be part of the Challenger Series again and thus be closer to the women’s CT.
