This Saturday, things in the Premier League will get quite interesting, as we not only have the teams at 2nd to 4rth place having a constant fight to see who comes on top on the scoreboard, but currently, the 6th to 10th spots are crammed up together on points, and all of them are within close reach from the 5th spot.

Things have been getting interesting, with the teams getting to full speed as the matches go on, and now, we are getting ready to see quite an exciting matchup.

Liverpool is currently in the 9th spot in the standings, and they will be facing Chelsea, who is right behind them in the 10th, a win for any of these two is a step closer to getting ahead of the bunch at the middle of the standings, but that won’t happen without a fight.

The Premier League fans should be on the edge of their seat, as this match packs a lot of interest, even if it doesn’t involve the teams on the very top.

Why Bet on Liverpool

It has been a miserable start to 2023 in the Premier League for Liverpool, even if they did enjoy FA Cup success against Wolves earlier in the week.

The Reds have lost both of their league games against Brentford and Brighton, conceding three times in both matches.

They haven’t lost their first three league matches in a calendar year since 1953, which was also the last time that they shipped three or more goals in a row in the top flight.

These defensive worries will be concerning Klopp, despite having a side packed with the talent of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Why Bet on Chelsea

Victory against Crystal Palace may have kept the metaphoric dark clouds away from Stamford Bridge for a little while longer, but with just two wins in their last 10 leagues games (none of which have come on the road), Graham Potter will need his magic to start working in his 20th game in all competitions in charge of the Blues.

Chelsea could be playing Liverpool at the best possible time with the Reds’ poor Premier League form and the Blues’ recent win and signing of Mykhailo Mudryk handing them the momentum

Final Betting Analysis: Liverpool vs. Chelsea

On paper, Chelsea’s next task is a tough one as they travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool. Visiting the toughest ground of the last 5 years in the Premier League at this moment isn’t ideal by any means.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s men are also struggling for consistent form losing their last two Premier League games to Brentford and Brighton, conceding too many goals in the meantime.

With Chelsea potentially buoyed by the arrival of Mudryk, who can make his debut for the club against Liverpool, Shearer’s claim of where the Reds currently are, along with their injury crisis, prove Saturday could be the best time for Potter to do battle with Klopp and raise his head a little again.

We take those chances and place our token on Chelsea for the match.
