This weekend, Matchday 11 of Liga MX was played. Monterrey is becoming more and more the leader, while some teams are already beginning to show weaknesses.
Toluca crushed the last of the tournament, Mazatlán, for 4-1 and climbed to second place. Nicolás Benedetti was both a hero and a villain on the visit, as he scored the goal for his team, which was temporarily 1-1, but then he was sent off and they fell apart. In a highly entertaining match, Santos beat Tijuana 3-2. It was a back-and-forth game since the Laguneros always took the lead, but Xolos equalized the game. Javier Correa put the Verdiblancos ahead on two occasions, but Alexis Canelo and Lucas Rodríguez tied the game just a few minutes later. Finally, Dória appeared in a corner kick to declare the 3-2 favorable to the Guerreros that allowed them to reach the eighth place with 15 points. Tijuana is left out of the group of 12 with 11 points.
