We reached the last round of the Liga MX qualifying phase. Ten teams have already won their places in the knockout stage, but another 6 clubs are still fighting for the two remaining positions. Santos (11th) and Pumas (12th) need to win their games to secure the classification. Only Necaxa and Mazatlán (penultimate and last place) have no mathematical chance of moving on to the next stage.
After beating Mazatlán away from home, and seeing América (2nd) draw with Pumas, Monterrey confirmed first place in Liga MX, increasing the distance to 6 points over its rival.
At such a decisive moment in the season, all teams know that a negative result can be irreversible. Winning and increasing the points tally by three is the simplest way to get a spot for the knockout phase.

After the draw with Pumas, in the last round, América knows that it will need to show a much better performance if it wants to guarantee the victory against the fragile Juárez team. Without winning for at least 5 games, Juárez has very remote chances of advancing to the knockout stage. They have only won 3 matches this season and can only reach 18 points; the same number as Pumas (12th) and Atlético San Luís (13th).

Chivas Guadalajara will be able to end the first phase among the three best clubs in the league, but for that, they still need to win in this last round against Mazatlán, last placed in the Clausura Tournament.
Entering the Liguilla in the top four for the first time in many years would be like a dream for the Rebaño. Knowing this, Guadalajara will need to face Mazatlán seriously, as Toluca (4th) and Pachuca (5th) can still steal their position in this last game.
Chivas won the last three matches they played for the Mexican championship, which puts the team at an advantage to win next Saturday’s duel. Mazatlán is in last place and has just 7 points in 16 games. Go for a victory of Guadalajara.

The hosts drew with Juárez and lost to Pumas in the last two rounds and, therefore, need to win again to raise the spirits of their players in this decisive moment.
