The surprises continue in Liga MX or; if many do not like this term, we can say that Pachuca is reaffirming its excellent moment this season. Not only do they have in mind to be champions in this 2022 opening tournament; but they also want to do it categorically and without letting their rival breathe.

The Nemesio Diez Stadium, home of Toluca, witnessed the first leg of the final of the Apertura 2022 Liga MX Tournament, a real smashing by the visitors, who took a surprising and crushing victory with a score of 5-1, which practically leaves them with the trophy of champions of this tournament.
A close and tight match was expected in this first leg after the good performances of the Tuzos and the Diablos Rojos against their rivals in the semifinals.
Pachuca completely dominated the field in the first half and took a four-goal lead.
From start to finish, they imposed their supremacy on the Nemesio Diez pitch, despite playing as visitors.
There were dozens of scoring chances for the team coached by Guillermo Almada, as, in total, of the 14 shots they took throughout the match, 6 of them went directly into the Toluca goal and 5 of them into the back of the net, so it is worth highlighting the effectiveness that Pachuca demonstrated in this match.

With Pachuca in complete control of the match, in the 36th minute, Ibarra scored his second goal of the night with a spectacular play that started from the middle of the field.
Pachuca went into the halftime break with a 4-0 lead thanks to a corner kick that was headed in by Mauricio Isais in the 41st minute.
In the second half, at minute 53, the Argentine Nicolás Ibáñez sealed the game with the Tuzos’ fifth goal with a left-footed shot inside the Toluca box.
Although Toluca tried to react after scoring their goal in the 78th minute thanks to Jordan Sierra, they had already given up completely and just wanted the game to end.
With this result, Pachuca has the table set to be champion at home; they must win, tie or even lose by up to 4 goals, and they would still be the Mexican champions.
