Brasileirão Matchday 35 – Roundup and Results

Last Updated on November 3, 2022 5:26 pm by Erwin Noguera

The title race for the Brasileirão finally ended, with El Verdao crowning itself as champions of the Serie A. However, as our cover-up of this amazing league showed before, Palmeiras practically sealed the title several weeks ago. What is still in play is an amazing relegation battle.

Avaí, at home, lost to Bragantino by 2-1 and is almost relegated to Série B of the Brasileirão, mainly because their main rivals won in the same round (Juventude 0 – 1 Coritiba; Botafogo 0 – 2 Cuiabá). Atlético Goianiense also had a good chance of escaping the last four positions, but could not maintain the advantage against Santos and lost 2-3. Playing at home, Atlético turned the game around in the first half, but got tired in the end and got even more complicated in the Brasileirão.

The battle for international competition spots is also extremely exciting, as Corinthians got a little payback from Flamengo, but this may not be enough if they didn’t get results in the following weeks.

Let’s see how our picks for matchday 35 turned around.

Even before starting their match against Fortaleza, Palmeiras had already been crowned champions a few hours ago, during Internacional’s 1-0 defeat by América Mineiro. With only three rounds to go in the championship, Palmeiras lifted the champion trophy at the end of the game against Fortaleza, which they won 4-0.

The game that gave el Verdão the anticipated title was the victory of América Mineiro over Internacional (1-0), increasing the distance from the leader to the second place and making it impossible for Inter to reach the score of Palmeiras.

Brasileirão Matchday 35 – Flamengo vs. Corinthians – Betting Odds & Free Pick – Info

When:

Wednesday, November 2nd, 06:30 pm ET at the Maracanã

Moneyline Odds:

Flamengo -204

Corinthians +540

Draw Offs:

+310

Where Can I Watch it?

Paramount+ and Vix

Flamengo lost to Corinthians 1-2, but the result does not change the team’s plans, as they have already won the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores and no longer have aspirations in the national league. Even with the victory, Corinthians remained in the fifth position, although very close to the classification for Libertadores next year.

El Coringão will face a tough battle for a direct spot in the next Libertadores, against Fluminense, Internacional, and Flamengo itself.

Let’s take a look at other results of Brasileirão matchday 35:

  • São Paulo 2 x 2 Atlético Mineiro;
  • Athletico Paranaense 3 x 2 Goiás
