Titans vs. Seahawks – Week 2 NFL Predictions & Preview

Last Updated on September 18, 2021 12:20 pm by Erwin Noguera

The Tennessee Titans will face the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on Sunday for a Week 2 contest between two teams that had very different results in Week 1. The Titans were embarrassed on their home turf at Nissan Stadium by the Arizona Cardinals and suffered a brutal 38-13 loss in which Tennessee failed in every facet of the game. The Seahawks, on the other hand, picked up an impressive road win over the Indianapolis Colts, 28-16, to start the season on a high note and help Tennessee in the AFC South.

At Gambyl we show you the most relevant information about the NFL match. We’ve also put together a series of football predictions for the game, showing you the most interesting markets and odds.

Why bet on the Tennessee Titans

The Titans have now lost four straight games against the spread, including an outright loss at home to the Baltimore Ravens on Wild Card Weekend as a slight favorite to end their 2020 campaign. Last Sunday’s game failed to reach the high-scoring total of 54 points, making it two straight demolitions after overs finished 12-3-1 for the Titans last regular season. Tannehill completed 21 of 35 for 212 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in addition to the ground touchdown, and was caught six times, five of which came from Chandler Jones alone. Derrick Henry managed just 17 carries for 58 yards, while Chester Rogers was Tennessee’s leading receiver with four receptions for 62 yards. It was all ugly, as Arizona outgained the Titans 416-248 and forced three turnovers.

Why bet on the Seattle Seahawks

The big story of the offseason for the Seahawks was hiring new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron to install a more modern system on that side of the ball, and things look good as Seattle handled the Colts. Russell Wilson hit Tyler Lockett on touchdown passes of 23 and 69 yards in the first half, and the scoring was really in the middle of the fourth when DK Metcalf got in on the action, with Indianapolis making the final score a little more respectable in garbage time. Wilson was ultra-efficient, finishing 18-of-23 for 254 yards and four touchdowns. Chris Carson racked up 91 ground yards on 16 carries, while Lockett caught four passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Seattle outgained Indianapolis 381-336 as the defense made some big plays including three catches and a fumble recovery on a fourth-down fumble attempt.

Final betting analysis between Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans

After losing so handily in their home opener, the Titans feel like the kind of tough team capable of bouncing back with a big loss on the road. After all, it will be tough for Lewan to be as bad as he was in Week 1, and that means more/better opportunities for both Tannehill and Derrick Henry. This should be a closer game than both teams experienced on opening weekend. Still, Russ should have little trouble hitting Tyler Lockett or DK Metcalf on some big plays against the Titans’ spotty secondary, and the Seahawks defense showed enough creativity getting after the QB to hold down the fort at home, so we think the victory will be 26-23 in favor of Seattle Seahawks.
