On Monday, October 04, 2021, the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden will be hosting the clash between the 24 Years old Teofimo Lopez and the 28 Years old George Kambosos Jr.
The two undefeated boxers were scheduled to do battle on June 19 in Miami, Florida, on Triller PPV. However, Lopez tested positive for COVID-19 and the fight was postponed until August 14.
The fight was delayed again due to quarantine scheduling issues. Anyway, now appears to be finally going down once the Fighters meet on the Madison Square Garden.

Why Bet on Teofimo Lopez
This match is a run back to normal for the American Champion, who is the heavy favorite walking into the ring.
Seeing “The Takeover” as a four-digit favorite is nothing new. He closed as such in the five fights leading into his first title fight with Richard Commey in 2019.
Lopez was a -400 favorite in his win over Commey and then was an underdog for the first time in his last fight against Lomachenko, closing at +260. Either way, he won by unanimous decision in October.
Walking in to make the first defense of the WBA, WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles, along with the IBF strap he held previous to the Lomachenko fight. At this moment in time, Teofimo comes in pretty confident on his skillset.

The undefeated fighter Kambosos is understandably walking to the ring as an underdog for the first time. Is easy to understand, as this will be his first world title fight.
That said, “Ferocious” was only a slight -140 favorite in his last fight against Lee Selby, a former world champion. That time, Kambosos won via split decision last October.
Kambosos has really fast hands and a good active jab, but the boxer from Australia will at times sit back too much on counters and will essentially give away rounds if his opponents stick and move.

In Teofimo’s win over Lomachenko, much of the narrative was whether he would have the conditioning and technical skills to outbox the former pound-for-pound champ. He later proved to have both.
What sets Lopez apart from his opponents is his ability to read when they want to move forward, and he intercepts them with his explosive knockout power.
Due to Lopez’s high fight IQ, reflexes, and power, we believe that he will get the knockout, likely in the earlier rounds, especially given the way that Kambosos holds his lands low and charges into the pocket for counters.
