The second week of July starts today, and on this Tuesday 12th, the LMB calendar keeps going strong, as the teams that are on the very top of the scoreboard attempt to leap away from the rest of the group.
There is a heated battle right in the middle of the group, as the teams there are fighting over trying not to fall behind, and that has left a few teams on the back end with little hopes of catching up.
We can’t start the week without mentioning the leaders of the scoreboard, who are fighting to get ahead of each other.
First, we have the Tecolotes de Dos Laredos, who are currently going at 43 wins and 19 losses and riding on a current 3 games-win streak.
Close behind, we get the defending champions, who will not let their title go to anyone else without giving a good fight. They currently sit at 41 wins and 21 losses.
Now, this Tuesday marks the start of some interesting series that could make a difference in the scoreboard when we hit the weekend.

LMB July 12th Series: Tecolotes de Dos Laredos vs. Saraperos de Saltillo
As we previously mentioned, the Tecolotes are having an excellent season, having more than twice as many victories as they have losses, and leading at the top of the scoreboards.
They may be visiting in this series but they have been strong both in and out of their home field.
Their opponents, Saltillo, are struggling a bit, coming in with 30 wins and 36 losses.
They may have a tough week this time; as they have barely held on to positive scores at home, winning 16 and losing 14 matches.
We believe that Dos Laredos will make it tough for Saltillo to remain in the positive win/loss ratio at home.

LMB July 12th Series: Toros de Tijuana vs. Diablos Rojos de Mexico
Tijuana doesn’t want to let Dos Laredos get any lead on the scoreboard at all. So that means that they will be running through any opposition thrown at them to keep going up and remain at the top as defending champs.
This time, Diablos Rojos step up to the plate, and they come in with 32 wins and 28 losses in their current season.
The Diablos are holding the fight in the middle of the scoreboard. However, we do not believe it’ll be enough to take down Tijuana.

The Sultanes are trying to reach the top, as they are currently one victory shy from reaching the 40+ mark, and they have 26 losses so far.
They will find their opponents in Tabasco, who are currently in the middle of the all-out war at the center of the scoreboard.
It may just be the opportunity they need to kick things up a notch and catch up with the 2 teams on top.

The last series we will analyze for the week is Puebla vs. Oaxaca.
Pericos de Puebla is currently aiming for the top and they just got as lucky as they could get for this series.
They come in with 36 wins and 27 losses, but they are facing a team of Guerreros who have just not been able to find their rhythm in the field, and are in the far back at the moment.
It might just be the best chance for Puebla to catch up to Monterrey and then start climbing up to the top 3 spots.
