The Philadelphia Union’s 2-0 win over the New England Revolution extended their winning streak to 3 consecutive games and moved them to the top of the Eastern Conference with nine points.

Forward Tai Baribo’s outstanding form has seen him score six goals in the first three games, leading the league in goals and contributing to the Union’s top ranking in both goals (10) and assists (12). Left-back Kai Wagner made his 175th appearance for the team and leads MLS with four assists this season, while goalkeeper Andre Blake kept his first clean sheet of the 2025 MLS season.

The Union kept the same starting lineup for the third consecutive league match, a feat they had not accomplished since May 2023. Inter Miami maintained its impressive winning streak in the 2025 season, securing its fourth consecutive victory by defeating Charlotte FC 1-0 at Chase Center Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

Under the leadership of head coach Javier Mascherano, the team remains undefeated and is making significant strides toward the top positions in the MLS conference. Lionel Messi’s return to the lineup after a two-game absence added to the anticipation. However, the renowned player did not see playing time.

The match saw Inter Miami take the lead early on, with limited opportunities for the hosts to make significant inroads. Charlotte FC showed a heavy reliance on recent addition Wilfried Zaha, known for his stints with prestigious clubs such as Manchester United and Olympique Lyon. However, despite flashes of skill from Zaha, the team struggled to capitalize on attacking opportunities, resulting in a lack of substantial threat in the opposing half.

A crucial moment occurred when Inter Miami goalkeeper Oscar Ustari was sent off in the 37th minute, creating a numerical disadvantage for the team. Despite this setback, Inter Miami showed determination, and Tadeo Allende scored the game’s only goal 16 seconds into the final period, further intensifying the pressure on Charlotte’s defense.

Although Charlotte FC tried to recover, including a remarkable attempt that hit the woodwork, they were ultimately unable to equalize. In addition, the 81st-minute introduction of David Martinez for Tadeo Allende marked the emergence of Lionel Messi after his absence in the team’s previous wins over Houston Dynamo in MLS and the Jamaican Cavalier in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Result: Inter Miami 1–0 Charlotte FC

St. Louis City’s scorers were Cedric Teuchert, Marcel Hartel, and Simon Becher, who all found the back of the net against the reigning MLS Cup champions. Despite remarkable efforts, Galaxy players Gabriel Pec and Marco Reus, including several scoring opportunities, were denied by Bürki’s outstanding goalkeeping.

Teuchert opened the scoring for San Luis in the 44th minute, capitalizing on a rebound in the box. Hartel extended the lead early in the second half, capitalizing on a pass from Teuchert. However, Pec missed a clear chance in the 64th minute, and Reus’ free kick was deflected by Bürki in the 74th minute. Becher finally secured the victory with a goal in the 84th minute, resulting in a final score of 3-0.
