This fight has heavy “Bull vs. Matador” vibes, as Kambosos’ path to win is to bully Haney, who needs to stick and move to avoid getting smothered by the hometown champ.
No entanto Haney has it rough, Kambosos may not be as ready as people think for what the American is bringing him. For someone who was on the verge of dying in the ring, an ailing Lopez managed to floor him, and earlier bouts against Lee Selby and Mickey Bey saw him struggle against boxer-minded opponents.
Outside of Vasily Lomachenko, Haney is the best pure boxer in the division. Having his lead trainer absent is problematic, but it would be a foolish gamble that he isn’t ready for the biggest fight of his career.
