NBA Week 24 Preview and Free Picks

Things are pretty interesting as we step into the 24th week of the NBA Season. We are currently switching our focus toward the Western Conference, whereas the 10 spots on the Eastern side have already been clinched, while only two of them have been clinched on the Western side.

In the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder took the top spot with no issues, and the Rockets have been the only other team to clinch a spot after them.

Now, the teams that are looking to put themselves at the front are the Lakers, Nuggets, Clippers, Warriors, Timberwolves, Grizzlies, Kings, and Mavericks, but they still have to work a little more if they are to clinch the spots.

Here are the previews of some of the most interesting upcoming matches of Week 24 of the 2024/25 NBA season, with our free predictions.

NBA Week 24: Pistons vs. Kings

Zach LaVine did a spectacular job for the Kings in Sunday’s upset win over Cleveland, scoring a team-high 37 points. But he’ll need to be on his game offensively if he hopes to lead the Sacramento Kings to a second upset victory in this upcoming match.

Tonight’s matchup with the Detroit Pistons is a familiar one for LaVine. In his seven seasons with Chicago, he ruined the Pistons’ days multiple times, so this may be a match where he feels comfortable.

LaVine & Co. need a win tonight, and we expect him to be at his best against a team he regularly torched as a member of the Bulls.

NBA Week 24: Hornets vs. Grizzlies

Things are looking pretty good for the Grizzlies, who are looking to clinch a spot in their conference. In addition, they are facing the Hornets, a team that has been struggling during most of their recent clashes.

With the Charlotte Hornets losing 15 out of their last 20 matches, they will be eager to turn their fortunes around in this game, but we can’t expect them to have an easy night against a Memphis Grizzlies team that has been in good recent form, so we are taking the visitors as our pick for the victory.

NBA Week 24: Bucks vs. Timberwolves

Both teams are coming in from strong winning streaks, with the Bucks on a four-match streak and the Timberwolves on a five-game victory streak, which makes this upcoming clash all the more interesting.

The Bucks may have already clinched a spot, but unlike the Timberwolves, the visitors here have more wins and fewer losses, meaning the Western Conference has been more contested.

However, the Bucks are playing at home, where they have been at their best, but the Timberwolves are likely to throw their A-game to get a victory. This is a tough call, but we are going with the Timberwolves.

NBA Week 24: Clippers vs. Spurs

This matchup may have come as a blessing in week 24 for the Clippers, who are looking pretty strong with their current four-match winning streak, as they try to lock in a spot while they are placed 4th in the Western Conference.

They are facing a Spurs team that is placed 13th on the board and comes in from a two-match losing streak. Besides the fact that they have won 32 clashes and lost 46, they have been at their worst on the road, so the Clippers should have a relatively easy time as they play at home.
