América remains the leader of the Torneo Clausura MX after securing a 2-1 away victory over Puebla.
The ‘Águilas’ took the lead early, just 13 minutes into the match, when a defensive mistake by the hosts led to a shot from Víctor Dávila that struck the post. However, the rebound fell to Alejandro Zendejas, who finished with his left foot to make it 0-1.
The second goal came in the 38th minute, right after Brayan Angulo was shown a red card. The Colombian was sent off for a handball, as he was deemed the last man. From the resulting free kick, a loose ball in the box was pounced on by Henry Martín, who scored his 100th professional goal.
Puebla pulled one back in the 73rd minute through a strike from Ricardo Marín, following a great cross from Jesús Rivas. However, it was merely a consolation, as América dominated and secured the win.
América remains unbeaten with 16 points, 15 goals scored, and only three conceded, while Puebla sits in 14th place with just five points in the Clausura MX.

Tigres bounced back from their shocking 1-0 defeat against Real Estelí in the CONCACAF Champions Cup by securing a 2-1 victory over Atlas, keeping them in third place, just three points behind the leaders.
The ‘Felinos’ took the lead in the 21st minute when a cross from Jesús Angulo was deflected by Nicolás Ibáñez and then finished by Juan Brunetta.
The ‘Zorros’ equalized with a close-range strike from José Rivaldo Lozano and even had the chance to go into halftime with the lead, but Aldo Rocha’s penalty hit the post.
Tigres secured the win with a stunning goal from Ozziel Herrera in the 66th minute, right after he stepped onto the field. The forward cut inside from the left and unleashed a powerful long-range shot that left goalkeeper Camilo Vargas with no chance.
In one of the final plays of the match, Guido Pizarro was sent off for a last-man foul at the edge of the box, stopping Uros Durdevic from a clear goal-scoring opportunity. With this result, Monterrey’s side now has four wins, one draw, and one loss, while Guadalajara’s team sits in 15th place with just four points in the Clausura Mx.
6ª rodada da Liga MX: León 3-3 Toluca
León 2.82 | Toluca 2.28 | Draw Offs: 3.66 |
In the best match of the weekend, León and Toluca put on a spectacular show, ending in a thrilling 3-3 draw that confirmed both teams as strong title contenders.
León entered the match undefeated and as the only team with a perfect record, and they started dominantly. Just 15 minutes in, Jhonder Cádiz opened the scoring after a brilliant assist from James Rodríguez.
At the 24-minute mark, Rodrigo Echeverría doubled the lead with a superb first-time strike following a precise cross from David Ramírez on the right.
In the second half, Toluca’s coach, Antonio Mohamed, made key substitutions that paid off, as Isaías Violante and Robert Morales came on and scored the two goals to level the game. Violante found the net in the 50th minute with a shot that deflected off Nicolás Fonseca, while Morales equalized at 60′ after a great assist from Alexis Vega.
Toluca’s joy was short-lived, as just four minutes later, Echeverría struck again with a weak low shot that debutant goalkeeper Pau López—who arrived from Girona—failed to stop, putting León ahead 3-2.
However, in the 85th minute, Morales scored again with a shot to the corner, where goalkeeper Óscar Jiménez could have done better but slipped at the crucial moment.
The match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, leaving León as co-leader alongside América, both with 16 points, while Toluca sits in eighth place with nine points in the Clausura MX.
