Team Overview
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to embark on the 2024/2025 NFL season as the reigning champions, having secured back-to-back Super Bowl titles. Under the seasoned leadership of head coach Andy Reid and the exceptional play of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are aiming to make history by becoming the first team in the Super Bowl era to win three consecutive championships. With a roster that blends veteran experience and emerging talent, the Chiefs are once again favorites to dominate the AFC West and contend for another Super Bowl.
Offensive Line Analysis
The Chiefs’ offensive line is a well-oiled machine, crucial for protecting Patrick Mahomes and facilitating their dynamic offense. Anchored by center Creed Humphrey and tackle Jawaan Taylor, the line has been reinforced to ensure Mahomes has ample time to execute plays. The addition of young talent through the draft and strategic free-agent signings has bolstered the depth and versatility of this unit. The line’s ability to maintain its high level of performance will be essential for the Chiefs to continue their offensive prowess, especially in a division known for strong defensive fronts.
Defensive Line Analysis
Kansas City’s defensive line remains a formidable force, integral to their success on the field. The unit is led by standout players like Chris Jones, who is a constant threat to opposing quarterbacks. Despite losing All-Pro cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, the Chiefs have focused on maintaining a robust pass rush and run defense. The drafting of promising prospects and the return of key veterans aim to fill any gaps and sustain the defensive line’s effectiveness. This line will be crucial in a conference filled with high-caliber offenses, as the Chiefs look to maintain their defensive dominance.
2024 NFL Season
Week 8 Review – vs. Las Vegas Raiders
The Chiefs still remain undefeated halfway through the season after a 27-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
The Chiefs were able to score two touchdowns thanks to Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy. In the end they finished the game with 334 total yards, 252 passing yards, 82 rushing yards and an average of 4.9 yards per play.
The Chiefs will hope to keep the momentum alive next week when they face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Week 7 Review – vs. San Francisco 49ers
The Chiefs held their winning streak and emerged victorious in the rematch against the San Francisco 49ers last weekend. The Chiefs won 28-18 in an intense game with four touchdowns.
The Chiefs concluded the match with 329 total yards, 145 passing yards, 184 rushing yards and an average of 4.8 yards per play. NFL fans were excited about this match as Forbes reported it was the most watched telecast of the week.
This weekend the Chiefs will take on the Las Vegas Raiders in what is predicted to be another easy win for them.
Week 5 Review – vs. New Orleans Saints
The Chiefs remained undefeated this week with a 26-13 win against the New Orleans Saints.
Wide Receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was at his best, finishing the game with seven receptions for 130 yards. Kareem Hunt, who has been brought on to replace the injured Isiah Pacheco, also shined with 102 yards and a touchdown.
Next week the Chiefs will take their bye week to recharge before returning to play the 49ers in an epic rematch!
Week 4 Review – vs. Los Angeles Chargers
The reigning champions continued their winning streak this week, pulling off a 17-10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chiefs out performed the Chargers in every way with 329 total yards, 228 passing yards, 101 rushing yards, and an average of 5.7 yards per play. The game’s leaders were the usual suspects of Patrick Mahomes, Kareem Hunt and Travis Kelce. The team has currently lost Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice to injuries.
Next the Chiefs will take on the New Orleans Saints who are tied 2-2 in their series.
Week 3 Review – vs. Atlanta Falcons
The Chiefs have extended their winning streak once again after defeating the Atlanta Falcons 22-17 on the weekend. While fans have been celebrating the win it looks like the Chiefs are being a bit more critical. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes said after the game “I just feel like I’m missing opportunities whenever they’re out there and not throwing the ball in the exact spot I want it to be at. I’m not playing my best football and we’re still getting wins, so I’ve got to get better to make the offense better.”
The team’s longest play was 17 yards and their longest throw was 27 yards. While the team is continuing to pull off wins, experts are suggesting a loss is in the cards soon as both Mahomes and Travis Kelce haven’t been on their A-Game this season.
This weekend the Chiefs will take on the Los Angeles Chargers who are ranked just below them in the AFC West division.
Week 2 Review – vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Chiefs narrowly pulled off a 26-25 win against the Cincinnati Bengals this week. The win however came at a cost as running back Isiah Pacheco suffered a fibula injury. Pacheco was seen leaving the stadium after the game on crutches and with his right foot in a walking boot. Sources are saying that this injury will land Pacheco on the Injury Reserve and in response the Chiefs have undrafted Carson Steele and Samaje Perine at running back.
Regardless of the injury, the Chiefs have been celebrating their victory as they lead the division 2-0. They are hoping to keep the energy going as they face off against the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday.

Week 1 Review – vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Chiefs debuted with a 27-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on September 5th. Wide receiver rookie, Xavier Worthy, had fans fired up and showcased his impressive speed when he caught a quick flip from Patrick Mahomes and sprinted into the endzone to tie up the score 7-7 early in the game. The game had a lot of back and forth but the Chief’s offense ultimately out-shined the Ravens.
Taylor Swift was also present at the kick-off game to support beau Travis Kelce. However recent rumors from Hollywood are saying that Swift’s plans to attend future games are being kept extremely secretive after the singer received concerning threats over the summer.
The Chiefs are hoping to keep their winning streak alive as they face off against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The Bengals are hoping to pull off a win after a loss to the Patriots this past weekend, but it seems the odds are stacked against them.
