Yair Raziel Rodriguez Portillo is a Mexican MMA fighter who was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, on October 6, 1992. “El Pantera” as he is nicknamed around the world, is a mixed martial arts MMA fighter and taekwondo black belt who currently competes in the featherweight division of the UFC. Rodriguez is currently listed as the 5th best fighter in the division according to the UFC.
Yair Rodriguez comes from a family of fighters, his cousin Misael “Chino” Rodríguez is a boxer who has represented Mexico in the Olympic Games.

The fight between Yair Rodriguez and the American B.J. Penn was the main fight of the UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs. Penn dated January 15, 2017.
