The Polish Jan Maciej Błachowicz was born in the city of Cieszyn, Poland, on February 24, 1983, he is a mixed martial arts fighter who is currently part of the light-heavyweight category in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and holds the world title of the category.

Błachowicz has been part of the professional MMA world since 2007 when he competed in different important events such as the KSW, where he was champion of the light-heavyweight category. Following his UFC debut, he was the second Polish fighter (first male) to win a UFC world champion belt, behind Joanna Jędrzejczyk.

Błachowicz is currently considered # 7 in the UFC’s official pound-for-pound ranking of the best fighters in the world.

On October 4, 2021, Błachowicz made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 53 against Ilir Latifi. In this fight, Błachowicz managed to show his potential and beat Latifi in the first round by technical knockout.
