On Friday, April 16, the world’s best surfers will return to the beautiful beaches of North Narrabeen. This northern suburb of Sydney, Australia has an excellent surfing environment as the waves are respected and many surfers love to compete on this beach. This has been home to surfing legends such as Simon Anderson, Nathan Hedge, Laura Enever, and Damien Hardman. In this splendid sea, dozens of tournaments have been organized under the name of Rip Curl Narrabeen Classic presented by Corona.

Top 2 Women 

Brisa Hennessy (CR) (+126.00)

Among the top 2 surfers in Latin America who will participate in the Rip Curl Narrabeen Classic presented by Corona is Brisa Hennessy. The Costa Rican comes from a good performance in her last competition which was in the Rip Curl Newcastle Cup presented by Corona. During this competition, she managed to advance but was defeated in round 16 by Caroline Marks who surpassed her with only 3 waves ridden and a score of 8.66. Hennessy finished with 4 waves ridden and a score of 7.93. This defeat placed her in 9th place in the tournament and added 2610 points in the CT.

Brazilian Tatiana Weston-Webb, who, like Hennessy, managed to advance to round 16, but was defeated by Isabella Nichols. Weston-Webb added points in 4 waves ridden, while Nichols managed to ride 8 waves. Nichols added her 2 best scores from 14.10 – 12.53, and Weston-Webb ended up adding 2610 points in the CT and placed 9th place in the tournament.

Top 2 Men

Italo Ferreira (BR) (+5.00)

The current champion of the CT and #1 in the list of the best surfers in the world is Brazilian Italo Ferreira. Ferreira was the champion in the Rip Curl Newcastle Cup presented by Corona, taking the victory from Medina in a great impact final. His outstanding participation led him to win after riding a total of 10 waves, only 1 lower than Medina. After this victory, Ferreira added 10,000 points in the CT, which enshrined him in first place on the list.

Gabriel Medina (BR) (+5.00)

Gabriel Medina is currently the second-best surfer in the world according to worldsurfleague.com. The Brazilian comes from surfing exceptionally at the Rip Curl Newcastle Cup presented by Corona. This led him to contest the grand finale against his compatriot Italo Ferreira who defeated him with a difference of 1.67 points. It was a great competition, the kind that we always want to see. The two best surfers in the world ride 21 waves between them.
