One of the most important surfing events of the Qualifying Series every year in the Brazilian territory, the Saquarema Surf Festival ROXY Pro QS, will promote 6 competitions from November 15 to 21, 2021 of the World Surf League on the beaches of Itanúa.
More than 200 athletes will participate in this event, of which 128 will participate in the Men’s Quicksilver Pro QS 3000; 32 in the Women’s ROXY Pro QS 3000; 32 in the Men Longboard Pro; and 16 in the Women’s Longboard.
The Saquarema Surf Festival ROXY Pro QS will be on behalf of the Brazilian champion Leo Neves, who died surfing on these same beaches in a competition in 2019.

- Yago Dora
One of the Brazilian surfers who started surfing later in his career, Yago Dora, was born on May 18, 1996, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. In his childhood (until he was 11 years old), Yago Dora was a soccer fan; so much so that he did not like surfing at all, even when his father was a professional surfer.
After discovering that surfing was his passion, Dora has been one of the best Brazilian surfers since his debut. As he has shown this season where, thanks to the sum of the points in the different events he has participated in, he is in position # 9 of the men’s CT.

The 34-year-old experienced Adriano de Souza is one of the Brazilian surfers who most inspires young surfers in their beginnings; since Adriano’s life was not easy at all to become a professional surfer. De Souza entered the Championship Tour in 2006. After many years of trying and giving his all, he managed to win the world championship in 2015.

- Daniela Rosas
The young and promising surfer Daniela Rosas was born in Lima, Peru, on January 21, 2002. Rosas is one of the best surfers in Latin America today; at a young age, has managed to be side by side with the best in the world.
Daniela Rosas has in her record an excellent victory at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
- Silvana Lima
Finally, another veteran and feisty Brazilian surfer, Silvana Lima, is one of the athletes who are considered an example to follow for many young women who want to start in a sport. Lima learned to surf on a shapeless wooden board; it was not until he was 14 that she was given a real board to make her dream of being a surfer come true.
Her best participation recently was in the Corona Montañita Open presented by Hyundai New Tucson 2022 of the Women’s Qualifying Series. There she managed to take first place and 1,000 points.
