The 4 days of Matchday 20 of the Primera Argentina are not over yet. Starting on Saturday, September 17th, and ending on Tuesday, September 20th, the LPF round had 7 games over the weekend; and will have seven more between Monday and Tuesday.
The main games of the round, which may result in changes in the top positions of the table, will take place today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday). The most awaited game was the confrontation between Boca Juniors and Huracán; who were 1st and 3rd, respectively, before starting the round.
The opening game of the round was between Barracas Central and Godoy Cruz. It ended in a 3-1 victory for the hosts; a result that put Barracas in 15th and left Godoy in 7th in the standings.

In the other games of the weekend, we had Newell’s defeat to Sarmiento (0-1), Tigre’s victory over Vélez (2-0), and River Plate’s tight triumph against San Lorenzo (1-0). Banfield lost at home to Lanús (1-2), Racing beating Platense by 1-0; and Talleres beat Colón by 2-0 and moving away from the relegation zone.
The highlight of the weekend’s games is the number of red cards applied by the referees: there were six cards in 7 games. In today’s match between Arsenal and Aldosívi, the visitors have already had a player sent off.
Boca Juniors and Huracán will face each other in a few hours and, in addition to this great match, we will have three more games today and two more on Tuesday, the 20th.
Gimnasia and Córdoba will be responsible for closing the round on Tuesday night.
