NBA 22/23 Weekly Roundup 3

Each day that passes, we observe how the teams are taking the desired pace of play to compete to be at the top of the leaderboard of their respective conferences, and, although some teams are improving every day, others continue to sink and do not seem to have the formula that leads them on the road to victory.

After another incredible week, the Milwaukee Bucks continue to be undefeated at the beginning of the season with 9 consecutive victories, proving that they want to be the league champions again this tournament. With Giannis Antetokounmpo, averaging 32.6 points per game and 12.9 rebounds per game, the Bucks are strong candidates to reach the NBA Finals this season.

We are pleasantly surprised by the Cleveland Cavaliers, a team that, with an excellent record of 7 wins and 1 loss, is in second place in the NBA Eastern Conference. After some difficult days, the Celtics seem to be back on the winning track.

A team that, despite having so many stars, is still in trouble, whether on or off the court, is the Brooklyn Nets, who have now decided to remove Irving from the team due to unsportsmanlike situations.

The Sixers and Heat have not been able to play at a high level and need to start winning if they expect to be at least in the next postseason. In the Western Conference, we have two frequent protagonists in recent seasons, Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz, with 7-2 and 7-3 records, respectively.

The Grizzlies with two wins in a row have managed to climb to third place, as well as the Nuggets and Mavericks who are looking to put pressure on the teams in the top spots.

Two teams that we expected to be at the top of the table have not shown a high level of play. Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, these two great teams have terribly started the season and, they are in the ditch of the Western Conference.

Finally, one of the games that gave us more surprises in this week 3 of the NBA was undoubtedly the Cavaliers vs. Celtics, which ended with a victory for the Cavaliers with a score of 132-123.

After a second quarter where the Celtics managed to take a partial victory with a score of 41-29, it seemed that they would be on their way to victory at home, but the Cavaliers came very strong after the break, especially defensively speaking.

Both teams were playing at a high level and, as a result, ended the last quarter tied at 114. This took the game to overtime, where the Cavaliers prevailed with an 18-9 run to take the victory.
