MLB Week 3: San Francisco Giants vs. New York Mets

San Francisco swept the Guardians in Cleveland 3-0 over the weekend, and bring a 5-game win streak into Monday’s game.

San Francisco pitching has registered a 1.40 ERA during the streak.

The Mets have recorded a fine 2.35 ERA in their 7-3 start. New York is coming off a 2-1 series win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Through 20 career games, Megill has held right-handed bats to a .559 OPS, while lefties have clobbered him for a .942 mark.

San Francisco bats plenty from the left side and with authority and frequency at the top of the order.

Cobb was sharp in his first outing and is backed by a better-rested bullpen in the back end.

Our Betting Pick is in San Francisco.

MLB Week 3: Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Atlanta ousted the Dodgers in the NLCS last year before winning the World Series.

This year, Atlanta is off to a slow start but has won two out of three games to improve to 5-6.

The Dodgers are off to a customarily strong start at 6-2 after sweeping the Cincinnati Reds in their home-opening series.

The Atlanta Braves seem to be getting more and more accustomed to having a target on their back, particularly on the road.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have found their home cooking to be delightful this season so far.

The numbers all swing towards the Dodgers in this NLCS rematch.

Kershaw is coming off an outstanding first start and is fresh with the season just underway.

MLB Week 3: Baltimore Orioles vs. Oakland Athletics

The Baltimore Orioles, fresh off of taking two out of three games against the Yankees in a 3-game set, head west and will take on the Oakland A’s in a 3-game set.

Baltimore will be looking for their first road win of the season in this matchup.

The Oakland A’s come in off of a 1-run loss to the Blue Jays and will make their home debut of 2022 in this game.

Baltimore is 0-3 on the road heading into this series.

They have been outscored by a combined 15-3 in those three road games.

In a battle of two rebuilding teams that will feature several younger players, our pick is on the home team Athletics.

MLB Week 3: Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians

The White Sox enter this game following their 2-1 series win against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Left-hander Dallas Keuchel is projected to get the start on the mound for Chicago and should be a good fade candidate in this matchup.

In his one start this season, Keuchel allowed three earned runs on six hits through five innings pitched against the Seattle Mariners.

The Cleveland Guardians enter this series after getting swept by the San Francisco Giants.

The public will most likely be all over the White Sox, as they took a series against a strong Rays team while the Guardians just got swept.

MLB Week 3: New York Yankees vs. Detroit Tigers

Both teams had a slow start to the season.

The Tigers currently sit at 4-5, while the Yankees are slightly better at 5-5.

At this early stage of the season, both American League teams will be looking to maximize their wins so they don’t have to catch up later.

Due to the ongoing Aaron Judge contract saga, the Yankees have been in the news a lot lately for off-court reasons.

On the field, the team has come to rely on the bats of players like Josh Donaldson and Anthony Rizzo, while Joey Gallo and Aaron Judge himself have been sluggish.

After dropping the first two series of the season against the White and Red Sox respectively, the Tigers fell in a game against division rivals Kansas City Royals.

The story of this game and this series will depend on who wants it the most.

Both teams have big hitters who have been slow and youngsters who are ready to pick up the slack.

The Yankees have a better pitch in this match-up and that may be the key.

MLB Week 3: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox

Both teams are coming in strong, as the Blue Jays enter with 6 wins and 4 losses, and the Red Sox come in with 5 wins and 4 losses.

Red Sox is feeling strong but it is just likely that the Blue Jays are going to be too much to handle for them in this match-up.

MLB Week 3: Pittsburg Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs

The Cubs and Kyle Hendricks will head to the banks of the Allegheny River to take on the Pirates and Zach Thompson.

Thompson’s peripherals were stronger than Hendricks’ last season.

Thompson does not allow hard contact and functioned as both a reliever and starter for the Marlins last season.

Given his versatility and the lack of power in each lineup, the Under presents value in this game.

Seiya Suzuki has been a welcome addition to the Cubs’ lineup, but Nick Madrigal has not quite turned it on yet.

Last year’s post-deadline darlings, Patrick Wisdom and Frank Schwindel have not been very strong, either.

The Pirates’ Michael Chavis and Ke’Bryan Hayes have looked solid thus far, but it is going to be hard to get adjusted against Hendricks’ changeup.

MLB Week 3: Colorado Rockies vs. Detroit Tigers

The Colorado Rockies are looking strong with 6 wins and 3 losses so far in their run.

The Tigers are not going through the best times with 4 wins and 5 losses so far in their run.

By the aspect of things, the Rockies are going to have the better of the Tigers once they meet for their series.

MLB Week 3: Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins

The Twins are currently at the bottom of the AL Central with 3 wins and 6 losses.

On the opposite side, we have the White Sox, who are leading the AL Central at 6 wins and 3 losses so far.

Chicago is feeling strong and will be looking to increase their wins as they meet the Twins to end the week.
