The Group Stage of the 2022 Davis Cup by Rakuten took place across four cities (Bologna, Glasgow, Hamburg, and Valencia) between September 13th-18th. Now we are getting ready for the knockout stage in a few months.
2022 Davis Cup – Event Round-up
Each of the Groups had exciting match-ups, but now the results are in and we got each of the teams that will make it to the knock-out stage.
Group A
The group that played in the Unipol Arena, Bologna, was formed by Argentina, Croatia, Italy, and Sweden.
After 12 matches, Italy landed the first spot with 3 wins and no losses; while Croatia managed to get 2nd with 2 wins and a single loss.
Group B
The group that played in the Pabellon Fuente de San Luis, Valencia, had Canada, Korea, Serbia, and Spain.
After 12 matches, Spain and Canada qualified with 2 wins and a single loss; but with better scores than Serbia, who was right behind them.
Group C
The group that played in the Am Rothenbaum, Hamburg, had Australia, Belgium, France, and Germany.
After 12 matches, Germany landed the first spot with 3 wins and no losses, and Australia managed to get 2nd with 2 wins and a single loss.
Group D
The group that played in the Emirates Arena, Glasglow, had Great Britain, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, and the USA.
After 12 matches, Netherlands scored the first place with 3 wins, and the USA landed the second spot with 2 wins and a single defeat.
