The Primera Argentina welcomes its 4th matchday, and it comes with an interesting match between one of the best teams in the league, River Plate, and one of the worst, Tigre.
The Millonario lost its last match against Argentinos Juniors in a mildly surprising result, although they had been dealing with the Libertadores group stage.
The feline has had a torrid year and doesn’t look like it will change any sooner. They were obliterated 0-4 at home by racing.

Why Bet on River Plate?
River Plate was the team to lead group A in the first phase, but they have just lost their most recent clash after two straight wins. They are now placed 7th on the board, only one point behind the six teams at the top, but now they will be hosting the next clash and must feel comfortable in the Monumental.
As said before, they lost against Argentinos Juniors, 1-0, with a goal by Lescano. However, let’s remember that the Bicho has been one of the best teams in the league this year, so it’s nothing to worry about. They recently won in the Copa Libertadores against Tachira 2-0.
The team has two of the best strikers of the Primera Argentina in Borja and Colidio (13 and 9 goals, respectively), so they can always rely on their strong offensive output.
Why Bet on Tigre?
With two losses and a single draw, Tigre is not at the bottom of the table only because Central Cordoba has been worse lately. However, they were the worst team in the first phase, and this kind of level will keep them at the bottom of the averages table and take them to the Primera Nacional.
In their last match, goals by Martirena Torres, MartÃnez, Salas, and Quinetero for Racing confirmed the terrible moment of a team that, even with more possession and at home, had nothing to do in defense.Â
Now they must visit one of the most difficult stadiums in South America in need of points.
Final Betting Analysis:Â River Plate vs. Tigre
In the last 21 matches between the two, River has the advantage with ten wins, contrary to five for Tigre, and there were six draws. In the previous three games, they had shared the spoils, with one triumph for each side and one draw.
Their last match was in February 2023, at the home of the feline, and the Millonarios won 0-1 with a goal by Leandro Gonzales Pires. They didn’t share a group in either of the last two editions of the Copa de la Liga, thus why they have more than a year without facing even while being teams from the first division.
Tigre must wake up if they want to maintain their status as a Primera Argentina team but, sadly for them, this is not the match for it. We’ll go for a 3-1 local victory.
Go for a win for River at 1.24. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $24 for a total payout of $124.
