Despite playing at home, Manchester City struggled to beat Everton 2-0 on Matchday 24, but they were able to solve the problem thanks to goals from striker Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian appeared at 71st, taking a rebound and volleying past the opposing goalkeeper. Afterward, at 85th, he led a counter-attack, took out a rival with his physique, and scored at the far post.

The Citizens remain in second place with 52 points, two behind Liverpool, but with a game in hand. Haaland re-took the lead in the fight for the Golden Boot with 16 goals. The Toffees are 18th with 19 points, one less than the Luton.

Liverpool made Anfield respected and beat Burnley 3-1, thus keeping the top of the Premier League for at least one more week.

The Reds opened the account with Diogo Jota’s header at 31st, but Dara O’Shea equalized at the 45th. In the second half, Luis Díaz appeared with a mid-range header to make it 2-1 (52nd), and Uruguayan Darwin Núñez closed the score at 79th, also with his head.

Tottenham took advantage of Aston Villa’s slip, overcame Brighton 2-1, and regained fourth place in the Premier League, although somewhat distant in the fight for the championship.

Pascal Gross gave the Seagulls the lead with a penalty kick, but in the second half, and after many attempts, Pape Sarr equalized by taking a rebound from the left upright (61st), and Brennan Johnson turned it around in added time by putting in a cross from Heung-Min Son (90+6th).

Arsenal took advantage of the momentum after the victory over Liverpool and beat West Ham 6-0 away, confirming that they will fight until the end to win the English title.

William Saliba opened the account at 32nd with a header from a corner kick, Bukayo Saka scored the second from the penalty spot (41st), Gabriel Magalhaes scored the third also with his head (44th), while Leandro Trossard scored the fourth with a shot at the far post.

In the second half, Saka confirmed his brace with a hook in the box and a shot to the far post in the 62nd minute. The last was a mid-range strike from Declan Rice, who did not celebrate in front of his former supporters (65th).
