In the most relevant match of the day, a blurred Liverpool lost at the Emirates thanks to their errors.

Bukayo Saka opened the score after a great deep pass that found Havertz alone, who challenged Allison in a one-on-one for the English winger to take advantage after the rebound. After that, possession went from hand to hand, but an error by Gabriel in Arsenal’s backline allowed Luis Diaz to take advantage. In the end, it was an own goal by the Brazilian center-half.

The second time was marked by some changes by Liverpool in attack, bringing Darwin Nuñez in. However, another long ball by Arsenal led to a VVD imprecision, after which Allison tried to respond but did so in a pretty poor manner, so Martinelli had the goal open to make the 2-1. He did so, and the impact was felt by the Reds.

Later, Leadro Trossard made a great run on the flank and shot between the Brazilian keeper’s legs, leaving him in the picture of the match. This has been the worst game by Liverpool’s first-choice defense in the season, also considering Konate’s red card.

At the last game of the matchday, Manchester City had to visit a rival that was a tricky challenge last season, so much so, that they ended up surrendering a pretty commented double in the Premier League.

However, this time the Citizens came with the obligation to win following Kloop’s men’s defeat, and they did so with an impressive Phil Foden hat-trick. It was not easy, though, as Flekken had a remarkable first half for Brentford, and the only way to breach his goal was due to an error by the defense, who ended up gifting the ball to the English attacking midfielder. That was the equalizer after Neal Maupay took advantage of a great ball by, precisely, Flekken to breach City’s goal.

In the second half, the locals felt the hit from the late equalizer and, with assists by Haaland and De Bruyne, the Sky-Blue youth academy graduate sealed the deal.
