The matchday 11 of the Premier League season has wrapped up. We had a big upset, which left everybody stunned, except for the leaders, who took the chance to take a big leap ahead of the competition.
Manchester City’s chances to keep up with Liverpool in the short term were surprisingly halted. This upset might send a wave. The results from this week have made the fight between the 3rd place to the 9th way tighter but left the top team far away at the front and the second in limbo between both sides, at least for now.
We will dive right into the 11th matchday of the Premier League.

It has been a huge surprise to see how Pep Guardiola has lost four consecutive matches for the first time in his decorated coaching career. This went down as Brighton deepened Manchester City’s recent misery with a 2-1 comeback win.
We must point out that the Premier League champions have been compromised by a weighty injury list over recent weeks. However, they seemed to be doing just fine during their first-half performance, but theycouldn’t land more than Erling Haaland’s 12th Premier League goal of the season to show for their efforts.
Brighton came out and looked the fresher and more industrious side after the interval, and tellingly, it was two of Fabian Hertzler’ssubstitutes, who made the difference.
Brighton’s Joao Pedro poached a 78th-minute equalizer, and Matt O’Riley marked his long-awaited Premier League debut with the winning goal five minutes later to send the home fans into raptures.

Liverpool is eager to push forward in the league, especially after their 2 – 0 victory over Aston Villa. The Reds came in and dominated early on, eventually capitalizing as Mo Salah ran clear on the counter and Darwin Nunez collected the ball to fire past Emi Martinez.
It wasn’t just a beating, as both sides had chances in the rest of the first half, with Villa forcing two great saves from Kelleher, though the first half ended with the home side ahead.
As Villa chased an equalizer in the second half, Salah chased a clearance and came off better, with the ball deflecting into his path to take him one-on-one by the halfway line. The Egyptian’s goal marked the final nail in the coffin, as Liverpool managed a clean sheet and comfortable victory in front of their crowd.

We have to give a ton of credit to Nuno EspÃrito Santo’s team, as they are the provincial outfit punching above their weight. However, by taking them down at the City Ground, Newcastle, now just a point behind Forest, showed they possess the capability to join the strong.
The hosts took the first goal of the match during the first half, but it was a heavy second-half comeback, courtesy of three lovely finishes.
The first was a piece of striking opportunism from Alexander Isak. The second one was an Âarrowing, long-range beauty from Joelinton, who showed a full stomach for the fight.
The third and last was scored by late substitute Harvey Barnes, cutting inside after an assist by an equally influential replacement in Sandro Tonali, which sent the Forest fans barrelling home.

Pedro Neto’s strike canceled out Gabriel Martinelli’s opener as Arsenal were held to a tense 1-1 draw at Chelsea, leaving both sides nine points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Chelsea switched off as Rice’s quick free-kick released Kai Havertz into the penalty area, and the former Chelsea forward finished into the bottom corner. The thing here is that the Arsenal celebrations were cut short after a VAR check correctly ruled the goal out for offside against the Gunners’ striker.
Arsenal managed to get the lead on the hour mark after Odegaard’s cross was converted by Martinelli at the far post, but Neto’s strike 10 minutes later brought the visitors level, and things finished off with both teams splitting the points.
