Why bet on Brighton?

Brighton cannot boast of a strong first half of the season. They are currently in 10th place with 27 points, 29 goals scored, and 28 conceded. They are closer to the relegation zone than to the top of the table and sit outside any international competition spots.

Although they managed to secure an important result against Aston Villa with a 2-2 draw on the road, their main issue has been a string of draws. They have tied their last three matches and five of their last seven, losing the other two. In total, they have nine draws this season, more than any other team in the Premier League.

Another issue has been injuries. The team’s top scorer, Danny Welbeck, with six goals, has not played since December 8 and hasn’t scored since October 26. There is still no confirmed date for his return. Similarly, Evan Ferguson, Ferdi Kadioglu, Mats Wieffer, James Milner, Adam Webster, Jack Hinshelwood, and Pervis Estupiñán are out, although the latter two are close to returning.

The team’s new signing, Paraguayan Diego Gómez, for whom they paid €13 million to Inter Miami, is still not in optimal condition and is expected to debut in a couple of weeks.

João Pedro, the team’s second-leading scorer with four goals, provided two assists against the Villains but has not scored since November 23, going seven matches without finding the net.

Why bet on Arsenal?

After a brief slump, Arsenal has regained their winning form and is once again in the race for the Premier League. With 39 points, they sit in second place, six points behind Liverpool, who has a game in hand.

The Gunners started 2025 on a high note by defeating Brentford 1-3 on January 1. This victory marked their third consecutive win after two draws, extending their unbeaten run to nine league matches and 12 across all competitions.

Their 38 goals scored make them the second-best offense, while their 17 goals conceded tie them with Liverpool as the league’s best defense. Kai Havertz leads the team with seven goals and has scored in their last two games.

One of the highlights has been Gabriel Jesus’ resurgence. After a prolonged injury last season, the Brazilian forward has returned to top form, scoring six goals in his previous four matches. These include five against Crystal Palace (three in the EFL Cup and two in the Premier League) and one versus Brentford.

Gabriel Jesus’ form is particularly significant as Bukayo Saka will be sidelined for approximately two months following surgery. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri has stepped up as an important contributor.

Arsenal is also dealing with other injuries, including Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Raheem Sterling.

Final Betting Analysis: Brighton vs. Arsenal

The last time these two teams met was on August 31 of this year, ending in a 1-1 draw with goals from Havertz and João Pedro, plus a red card for Declan Rice early in the second half. Before that, Arsenal had two consecutive wins, while the Seagulls haven’t won against them since May 14, 2023 (0-3), or at home since June 20, 2020 (2-1).

The odds at Gambyl Exchange favor Arsenal, with their Moneyline set at 1.84, Brighton at 4.27, and a draw at 4.01.

Arsenal has regained excellent form, even without their star Bukayo Saka, showing they have the tools to succeed. Meanwhile, Brighton’s lack of scoring threat is significantly affecting their performance, which is why we believe the Gunners will secure the victory. Go for a 1-3.

Go for a win for Arsenal. If you bet $100 at 1.84, you will gain $84 for a total payout of $184.
