Why Bet on Arsenal?
The Londoners finished second again. Last season they were much more solid but still showed flaws at key moments that cost them the title, like their incredible defeat as locals against Aston Villa.
Still, they achieved some objectives. Primarily, they broke two curses, finally being able to evade the loss against Manchester City in the Premier League and survive the Champions League round of 16. However, that still wasn’t enough to bring them a major title, as City got the better of them by a couple of points at the end of May. Also, they were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the maximum European competition by Bayern.
There’s not much to say about their participation in local cups as they went out of both quickly amidst a result crisis they suffered in the winter months. That’s something they must improve this season. Still, they didn’t end empty-handed, as they beat the Citizens for the Community Shield in early August last year.
Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu misses the club’s tour of the USA after suffering a knee injury. The club’s medical staff have yet to determine the severity of the issue, but he is now a doubtfor the start of the new season.
Why Bet on Manchester United?
The Red Devils’ season had been a total disaster until the very last day when they took the better out of a worn-out Manchester City that ran out of ideas, while the Manchester United youngsters bloomed to life. However, the FA Cup title doesn’t erase the fact that they finished 8th in the Premier League, a pathetic result for a club with this size and budget. They were ashamed in the Champions League, being last in a group that, on paper, wasn’t so hard.
The good news is that they have been moving well in the transfer market, bringing two of the young sensations from last season: Yoro and Zirkzee, for a combined 100 million Euros. Still, the question remains regarding Ten Hag’s capacity to lead this club to glory. What cannot be denied is his effectiveness in finals, as the team has already won two trophies under his charge.
Ten Hag was without five players for the clash with Rangers but Anthony, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, and Victor Lindelof have all returned to training before they depart for the United States.
Final Betting Analysis: Arsenal vs. Manchester United
Man Utd triggered a one-year extension in Ten Hag’s contract at the start of the month, meaning he is now tied to the club until 2026.
While Arsenal have yet to play a friendly this summer at the time of writing, United have already lost 1-0 to Rosenborg before they beat Rangers 2-0.
The Red Devils showed weakness in both games, but Ten Hag will hope an improved performance against Arsenal will lay down a marker for the rest of the pre-season schedule.
The Gunners will take on Bournemouth before they face the Red Devils, and it will be the second year in succession that the two sides have played each other in the United States. Last year, it was a win for the Mancunians by 2-0.
There’s little to split the two sides at the moment of a blooming pre-season, but we believe the Londoners will get the edge this time by 1-0.
Go for a victory for Arsenal at 2.05. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $105 for a total payout of $205.
