Why Bet on Egypt?

Egypt was one of the teams that had surprised, but their story came to an end. In the semifinals, they faced the local team, France, and lost in overtime by 3-1.

The Egyptians were visitors and, a priori, a weaker team, but they did not hide and went after the game, which turned out to be very even and with attacks from both sides. The Africans even managed to take the lead in the 62nd minute with a double shot by Mahmoud Saber, the first hit a defender, and the second went into the goal.

After that, it was the French who tried everything they could, turning goalkeeper Hamza Alaa into a star, until 83 minutes in, when veterans Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta joined forces for the latter to score the equalizer.

Omar Fayed was sent off for a foul at the start of extra time, and the situation became very difficult for the Pharaohs. First, it was Mateta with a header at 99′, and then Olise, after a couple of rebounds from the Egyptian defenders, made it 3-1.

Undoubtedly, Egypt left with their heads held high and will fight for third place, as they proved to be a great team throughout the tournament, beating Spain, one of the finalists, in the group stage, and eliminating Paraguay, the South American champion.

Why Bet on Morocco?

Morocco is no luck or surprise. They had already proved it in the Qatar 2022 World Cup reaching the semifinals, and in Paris 2024 they started the tournament by winning the controversial match against Argentina 2-1.

Now in the semifinals, they faced a power like Spain and managed to take the lead in the 37th minute with a penalty by Soufiane Rahimi, but in the second half, the Europeans pressed and equalized with a goal by their star player, Fermín López, in the 65th minute. Just as the game was coming to an end, Juanlu Sánchez appeared to score the final 2-1, putting an end to Morocco’s hopes.

However, just like the Egyptians, Morocco can leave with their heads held high and will try to win the third place that eluded them in Qatar when they lost to Croatia, and show that they are a team to be feared. They also have the luxury of the tournament’s top scorer, Rahimi, who has six goals, two more than Fermin and Mateta. The Al-Ain striker, one of the veterans of the tournament, has scored in every game.

Final Betting Analysis: Egypt vs Morocco

Last year they met in the final of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations, and Morocco won in extra time 2-1 with a goal from Oussama Targhalline, who is in Paris 2024.

The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have Morocco as the favorite. Their Moneyline shows 1.85, Egypt has 4.46, and the draw is at 3.55.

Great match between two great African teams that showed many good things in this Olympics and that also turned their eyes to their continent. Morocco showed a slightly better level of play and has an inspired Rahimi, so we believe they will take the victory by 1-0.

Go for a win for Morocco. If you bet $100 at 1.85, you will gain $85 for a total payout of $185.
