One of the most demanding disciplines that attracts more fans is artistic gymnastics, and this Tuesday, July 30, we will have the women’s team final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

In the Bercy Arena, 8 countries will be competing with the best gymnasts in the world in the fight for the gold, and without a doubt, the name of Simone Biles is the most repeated and from whom the most spectacular presentation is expected.

Biles is a sports legend, being the most decorated gymnast in history, both in men’s and women’s gymnastics. She has won 37 medals between the Olympic Games and World Championships, including four gold, one silver, and two bronze medals in the Olympics.

It should be remembered that, during the Tokyo 2020 Games, the American athlete decided not to participate and retire from gymnastics due to mental health problems, and it was not until last year that she returned to participate professionally and show all the talent she had.

Biles, 27, is the oldest member of the U.S. team and is the main candidate to reach the top of the podium. She is joined by Sunisa Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezley Rivera. In the qualifying round, Andrade had the three best scores in vault, balance beam, and floor exercise, in addition to the all-around, also qualifying for the individual final. If they win a medal, this would be the first time a Latin American country has reached the podium in this discipline.

On the other hand, the United Kingdom hopes to repeat its bronze medal in Tokyo. Alice Kinsella, 23, is the only member of the British team that won a medal at the last Olympic Games and will be looking to lead a team that mixes youth with veterans, as it has Georgia Mae-Fenton, also 23, Rebecca Downie, 32, but two minors such as Ruby Evans (17) and Abigail Martin (16).
