NFL Week 16 – Roundup and Results

NFL Week 16 was full of interesting games, surprises, and high scores. The biggest emotion of the round was due to the match between the Cowboys and Eagles, who are the leaders of the NFC East Division. The Eagles didn’t do enough to beat the Dallas team and struggled to hold off quarterback Dak Prescott throughout the game. The scenario of the NFC East Division did not change after this result but winning the best team of the season had a special flavor for the Cowboys, who had just finished qualifying for the playoffs.

Cowboys vs. Eagles were also the most points game of the round: 74 points. Round 16 also marked the heavy victory of the Rams over the Broncos (52-17). Despite the win, the Rams are unlikely to advance to the playoffs.

NFL Week 16 – Thursday Night Football – Jets 3 – 19 Jaguars

The Jets had, possibly, the last chance to touch the leaders of the group, but, even playing at home, they lost to the Jaguars by a considerable margin of points.

With this victory, the Jaguars remained at the top of the AFC South Division, with 7 wins, but still have not won a place in the playoffs. The Jets, with the same 7 wins, are in last place in the AFC East Division, which has the Bills and Dolphins as the leaders.

NFL Week 16 – Monday Night Football – Colts 3 – 20 Chargers

The Colts suffered a heavy defeat at home to the Chargers, ending their chances of advancing to the NFL playoffs for good. With this victory, the Chargers reached their 9th victory and managed to qualify for the knockout phase.

The game started balanced in the first quarter, but in the second stage, the Chargers showed their superiority and made the first 10 points. The 7 points scored in the last quarter were enough to complete the victory of the visitors.
