Why bet on the Las Vegas Raiders?
Things aren’t looking good for the Las Vegas Raiders. With a 2-5 record, they are the worst team in the AFC West, a division led by the unbeaten Chiefs, which paints a bleak picture.
They are coming off three consecutive losses to the Denver Broncos (34-18), the Pittsburgh Steelers (13-32), and most recently to the Los Angeles Rams (20-15). Their biggest issue has been defense, as their 183 points allowed make them the third most scored-on team, surpassed only by the Jacksonville Jaguars (194) and the Carolina Panthers (243).
The bad news for Antonio Pierce is that Aidan O’Connell, who was the new starting quarterback, is injured and will be out for four to six weeks, meaning they’ll have to rely again on Gardner Minshew, who had already been relegated to the bench.
Minshew has a completion rate of 66% with only four touchdown passes.
Why bet on the Kansas City Chiefs?
The Kansas City Chiefs are performing sensationally. Even with multiple injuries and Patrick Mahomes not at his peak, the team has managed to stay undefeated with a 6-0 record.
They have already beaten the Ravens, Bengals, Falcons, Chargers, Saints, and 49ers, proving they are a powerful team capable of defeating potential postseason rivals. They aren’t a high-scoring team (146 points) but have a solid defense, allowing only 103.
Mahomes has a 68% pass completion rate, averaging 21.2 passes per game, with only six passing touchdowns and eight interceptions. Still, his team has rallied to win every game.
A positive update for the team is that running back Kareem Hunt will be available after recovering from a hip injury. Hunt leads the team in rushing touchdowns (3) and is the only player in the NFL averaging over 20 attempts per game.
Head coach Andy Reid confirmed that defensive end Mike Danna, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and cornerback Jaylen Watson are injured and won’t be available this weekend.
