The NFL continues this week with its 2024/25 season schedule as teams go out to fight for victory in the various games.
Week 5 was full of interesting games, most notably the Falcons’ win over the Buccaneers on TNF. The Vikings won their fifth game of the season, this time against the Jets, while the Chiefs also won their fifth consecutive game, reaffirming their status and label as favorites, against the New Orleans Saints.
The Bills were surprised by a Texans team that is playing at a high level, while the Ravens’ offense seems to have awakened, and right now, they are aiming to be protagonists this season.

Kirk Cousins had an interception late in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, making it look like the game was over.

The Minnesota Vikings showed dominance by defeating the NY Jets 23-17 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, maintaining their undefeated season and cementing their status as top championship contenders.
In a quarterback showdown between Sam Darnold and Aaron Rodgers, Darnold had a terrible game with 14 pass completions, 179 yards, and one interception, leaving the offensive responsability to the ground game.
On the contrary, Rodgers had quality moments with 24 pass completions, 244 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions, but the Vikings’ defense contained him for most of the game.

The Houston Texans secured a thrilling 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills, with Fairbairn kicking a 59-yard field goal late in the game.
The game started with Buffalo scoring a field goal, answered by a 15-yard touchdown run by Akers for the Texans. Houston extended its lead to 14-3 on a 67-yard pass from CJ Stroud to Collins. The defenses held both teams in check, allowing only one field goal for the Texans to make the score 17-3.
In the third quarter, the Bills came back with two touchdowns to cut the score to 20-17. A 33-yard field goal by Bass tied the game at 20-20 with less than a minute remaining.
With one final offensive series, the Texans set up Fairbairn for the game-winning 59-yard field goal.

Finally, in the game that closed out the week, the Kansas City Chiefs secured a 26-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints, maintaining their undefeated season.
Leading the AFC West, the Chiefs dominated the game at Arrowhead Stadium as predicted. Kareem Hunt’s carry put the Chiefs ahead in the first quarter, and kicker Harrison Butker added three more points with a field goal in the second, making the score 10-0.
A 43-yard reception by Rashid Shaheed brought the Saints within 10-7. However, Butker extended the Chiefs’ lead to 16-7 with two field goals just before halftime.
The Chiefs got off to a strong offensive start in the third quarter but failed to score, missing a field goal. In the fourth, Saints’ Derek Carr scored, but missed the field goal, bringing the score to 16-13. However, Kansas quickly regained control with a Xavier Worthy touchdown.
Butker sealed the Chiefs’ victory with another decisive field goal. The Chiefs hold a perfect record of five wins, while the Saints have two wins and three losses.
