The week 1 of the NFL featured a controversial victory of the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs over the Baltimore Ravens.
But there were also other surprises, such as the victories of the Cowboys, Steelers, and Patriots, in addition to the Eagles and Packers playing the first game in South America, marking a milestone in the NFL.
Among other notable victories was Monday’s win by the reigning runners-up, the 49ers, who had no trouble with the Jets.

Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs started their title defense on the right foot, after defeating the Baltimore Ravens 27-20 in a game with controversy on the last play.
But despite the controversy, it was a great, even match. The young Xavier Worthy, 21 years old, who was chosen this year in the draft and comes from the Texas Longhorns, debuted with a touchdown on the ground and one through the air and already showed that he will help the Chiefs a lot.
For the Ravens, Derrick Henry, one of the new additions for this season, was in charge of opening the scoring.
As for the quarterbacks, Mahomes had 291 yards on 20 of 28 attempts, while Lamar Jackson had 273 on 26 of 41, plus 122 yards on 16 carries.
But the controversy came on the last play of the game, with no seconds left on the clock, Jackson found Isaiah Likely, who caught the ball, but the toe of his foot fell out of bounds and reversed the initial decision in an image that has already gone around the world: it was not a touchdown and the Chiefs won.

Although the San Francisco 49ers ended the first quarter down on the scoreboard, they had no problems and defeated the New York Jets 32 – 19.
It was a bad debut for the Jets’ new quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, who left the Packers after 18 years. He had only 13 pass completions and 167 yards, plus an interception.
Despite the number of points scored by the Niners, we only found one touchdown from Deebo Samuel and one from Jordan Mason. All the other touchdowns were kicks by Jake Moody. 20 of the 32 points came from the kicker, who is, along with Chris Boswell, the player with the most field goals made in this first week (6).
On the other hand, Brock Purdy had no touchdowns, but he did look confident, with no mistakes and 231 yards on his 19 passes completed out of the 29 he attempted.

One of the surprises of the weekend occurred in Ohio, where the Dallas Cowboys beat the Cleveland Browns 33 – 17.
It was a game defined in the first half since, at the time of going to the locker room, they were 20 – 3. In addition, in the third quarter, after a Browns kickoff, KaVontae Turpin caught the ball and returned the kick to score a touchdown for the Cowboys.
One of the stars of the afternoon was kicker Brandon Aubrey, who had four field goals and three conversions for a total of 15 points. Ezekiel Elliott, who returned to the team after a year with the Patriots, scored a touchdown. Dak Prescott beat Deshaun Watson, who had two passes intercepted.
