Starting this Thursday, August 25, the last week of the NFL preseason will begin and the teams are already focused on the goal of starting the new tournament with everything. Of course to be present at Super Bowl LVII to be on February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

The regular season kicks off on Thursday, September 8, when the reigning NFL champions, Los Angeles Rams, host the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium.

Now, we know we are all anxious for the regular season to begin, but for that, we have to go through the last week of preseason.

With 16 exciting games, we will have a weekend full of football where we will have two tendencies in the teams, some will try to give their starting players the chance to get to the highest possible level, while others will not risk it and will wait until the beginning of the regular season to put all the available arsenal.

The game that will kick off this last preseason week will be between the Chiefs and Packers, and a few minutes later the Texans vs. 49ers will start. We will also have very interesting games between Raiders and Patriots, Bengals vs. Rams, Browns vs. Bears, Colts vs. Buccaneers, and, this week will close with Steelers vs. Lions on Sunday 28th.

Now, here is the preview of the best games of this week 4 of the NFL preseason.

As we mentioned, the game that will kick off this last preseason week of the 2022-23 NFL season will be between the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers, which will be this Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Chiefs.

If this were a regular season game, we could assure that it would be the best game of the day since they are two teams that are labeled as favorites to win the trophy in the next Super Bowl, but, in the preseason and, according to what the Chiefs have shown in their games, it could be an ordinary match.

Andy Reid, coach of the Chiefs, has been very clear that in this preseason he is giving young players the chance to work out whom he will count on in the NFL regular season, and that he is taking care of his starting players so that they do not suffer any unexpected injury just 2 weeks before the kickoff.

Likewise, the Chiefs were able to show great potential in their last game against the Washington Commanders, with a very good victory with a score of 24-14.

The Chiefs have been one of the most consistent teams in recent years in the NFL, reaching the Conference Finals in the last 4 seasons and having participated in 2 of the last 4 Super Bowls, managing to take the victory in the 2019 season.

On the other hand, one of the most popular and winningest teams in the history of the NFL, the Green Bay Packers have managed to put together a very competitive team for this new season and, that is why they are called to be protagonists.

The Packers started the preseason with a loss against the 49ers with a score of 28-21. Then, in their home game, they achieved a very good victory against the Saints with a score of 20-10.

As soon as in preseason, we will have the rematch of the Super Bowl LVI game between Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams, which will be played this Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Bengals.

Even though we are in preseason and players are not as aggressive in these types of games, the risk of injury is always high. Regardless of this, we are sure we will have a very exciting game, especially from the Bengals who want to face their nemesis in the last Super Bowl.

The Bengals are relying heavily on their quarterback Joe Burrow, who won the Comeback of the Year last season. Although Burrow started this preseason with discomfort, it is expected that he could get some minutes of action in this game against the Rams.

Burrow’s absence has been noticeable in the Bengals’ first few games of this preseason, in which they have been unable to pick up any wins. In their first game, they were crushed by the Arizona Cardinals with a score of 23-36, leaving many doubts about their defensive block.

Meanwhile, in the second game, they again showed defensive weaknesses in the last quarter, where they received up to 18 points from the Giants, and fell with a score of 22-25.

On the other hand, the reigning NFL champions, Los Angeles Rams, come into this new season with the firm conviction of winning the Super Bowl for the second consecutive year. The Rams’ title defense will come after the team has made significant changes at the top of its salary sheet.

This preseason, the Rams have looked like a solid team on all blocks of the field, despite losing their last game played. They will try to emulate what they did in the Super Bowl last February when they had a good win against the Bengals.

One of the most exciting games we will have in this final week of NFL preseason will be between the Patriots and Raiders, which will play this Friday, August 26, 2022, at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Raiders. This is the first time the Patriots will visit the Raiders since moving to Las Vegas in 2020.

The last preseason meeting between the Patriots and Raiders was in 1995, when the Raiders, who played in Oakland, came away with a 32-24 victory.

The Patriots will close their preseason with this visit and, as they do every year, they want to return to being that fearsome team that achieved the most Super Bowl victories with 6.

New England had some trouble with the Giants in the first preseason game, but despite suffering the loss, they managed to finish with a close score of 23-21. Their quarterback, Bailey Zappe finished 19 of 32 passing for 205 yards.

In the second game, fortunes changed completely for the Patriots. They managed to score 10 points in both the second and final quarter to pull out a 20-10 victory. Zappe racked up 173 yards (16/25) and an interception, while Lil’Jordan Humphrey caught five balls.

On the other hand, the Raiders have had a fantastic preseason, plus they had an extra game over the other teams thanks to the Hall of Fame Game, where they posted a 27-11 victory over the Jaguars. In the second game, they again had a very good performance and beat the Vikings 26-20.

Finally, in their third and last game, they had a close victory in their visit to Miami against the Dolphins, with a score of 15-13. In this game, the Raiders scored in each of the quarters.
