We have just a few more matches before the NFL Preseason comes to an end, and we are eager to see them go down as we all prepare for the regular season to start.
We are currently focusing on the match hosted by the Lions, who have won one and lost one of their preseason matches. The Steelers will be the visitors, and they will be looking to get their first victory.

Why Bet on the Lions?
The Lions aren’t likely to play their starters on either side of the ball this weekend. They feel confident about where they are. Rather, receivers like Donovan Peoples-Jones, Kaden Davis, Tom Kennedy, Daurice Fountain, and Maurice Alexander will try to show the coaching staff what they’re made of.
Hendon Hooker and Nate Sudfeld will duke it out for QB2 one more time. Dan Skipper and Jamarco Jones are competing for a backup tackle spot. This Detroit team has high expectations, and a strong roster has to have depth.
After a year of issues in the secondary, the Lions aren’t worried about cornerback anymore. They have so much depth that a camp breakout like Kindle Vildor isn’t a lock to make the team. His special teams play will likely be the difference.

Why Bet on the Steelers?
One of the biggest goals for the Steelers this NFL preseason was to upgrade the QB room. That mission may have been accomplished, but Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, and Kyle Allen have not inspired much confidence this preseason.
Wilson is projected to be the starter and will suit up on Saturday. Pittsburgh’s starting offense, with Wilson under center, played five ugly drives against Buffalo without scoring.
It looked a lot like the unit that finished 2023 28th in scoring. Injuries to center Nate Herbig and RB Jaylen Warren haven’t helped the team get a proper look at full strength either.
Getting momentum for the starters will be important, but there are still plenty of players fighting for a roster spot.
The defense is coming off a performance where they only allowed nine points, even in a losing effort. Then again, this team did allow the sixth-fewest points a year ago.
Final Betting Analysis: Lions vs. Steelers
The Steelers are favored because their starters are getting an extensive look against backups. That won’t be an excuse for a Dan Campbell-coached team. Especially not with how weak Pittsburgh’s starting offense looks again.
Detroit’s defense can keep the Steelers’ starters from dominating. The Lions have two quarterbacks and a lot of explosive wide receivers fighting for a job on Saturday. This game will be settled by fewer than seven points in front of a sold-out crowd.
We expect the Steelers to take things lightly again, giving the Lions a chance to take another win here.
Go for a victory for the locals at 1.32. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $32 for a total payout of $132.
