After a week of wild games and high emotions in each of the games that were played, we are in the middle of both series of the Conference Finals of the best basketball in the world, the NBA.

In these Conference Finals, we’ve been able to see a team in the Golden State Warriors that seemed to have lost their mojo, but now they seem to have recovered their identity that led them to be 6x NBA Champions, led by Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

The Miami Heat are still trying to show that their season is still one of the best in the league and that they have what it takes to take the championship trophy.

Conference Finals (East)

Series: Miami Heat (2) vs. Boston Celtics (1)

One of the series that we were sure we were going to enjoy is this one between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics, and they haven’t let us down.

Both of these teams have shown an incredible level of play, and no matter what happens at the end of this series, either one of them is a very strong candidate to be the NBA champions.

This series started with an excellent victory for the Miami Heat at home, with a score of 118-107. The game had an incredible pace in the first half, where the Boston Celtics were able to go into halftime with a score of 62-54. But, the Miami Heat displayed an impressive defense that completely dried up the Celtics’ attacks, leaving them to score only 14 points in the third quarter, while the Heat scored 39. Although Boston won in the fourth quarter, they could not overcome this enormous difference of points that had been taken from them.

The second game followed the same pattern as the first, showing a much livlier Celtics with a higher level of play, especially when putting together the offenses, where they were lethal.

Game #2 of the series was defined in the first 2 quarters, where Boston came to take the advantage that would ultimately give them victory since the 3rd and 4th quarters ended even on the scoreboard.

The third game of the series was for either of the two teams, that’s why we say that this series has been phenomenal in only 3 games.

The Heat came out rolling over the Celtics with an impressive 39-18 in the first quarter. Boston managed to react with a 29-23 run to reduce the difference to 62-47. The third quarter was very good and the teams did not hurt each other. Finally, although the Boston Celtics managed to win the fourth with a score of 31-22, it was not enough for them to win, and they ended up falling 103-109.

With this victory, Miami recover the game they lost at home, and now they are more confident than ever.

Conference Finals (West)

Series: Golden State Warriors (3) vs. Dallas Mavericks (0)

A series that was supposed to be very close on paper has been the complete opposite; although Luka Doncic, star of the Dallas Mavericks, has managed to display a spectacular offense in the games they have played. The Golden State Warriors look solid, they look like the team that was nearly impossible to beat several seasons ago, and now they’re a foot and a half into the NBA Finals after leading 3-0 in this series.

In the first game of the series, we could see how the Dallas Mavericks were a bit nervous at the beginning of the game, missing several shots that normally do not miss, and only scoring 18 points in the first quarter. Then they grew confident and slowly woke up to give the Warriors headaches at the Chase Center. But, Golden State thanks to an impressive collective game, with Steph Curry with 21 points, Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole with 19 points, and Klay Thompson with 15 points, managed to lead the team to a very good victory with a score of 112-87.

The second game was very similar to the first, but with the difference that Luka Doncic fully woke up and managed to finish the game with 42 points, accompanied by Jalen Brunson with 31 points.

But, this did’nt help them against a team that continued to show amazing teamwork, led by Steph Curry with 32 points, Jordan Poole with 23 points, and Kevon Looney joining them in this game with 21 points. The Warriors managed to get the victory 126-117 to go with a 2-0 lead to Dallas.

Then they moved on to Dallas, an extremely tough place to beat the Mavericks. To start with, the Warriors showed that their level is as high as possible and managed to win a partial victory in the first quarter with a score of 25-22.

The second quarter was identical to the first, but Dallas managed to take the victory 25-23, to go into the break with a score of 48-47 in favor of Golden State. Then, the Warriors again with Curry and Wiggins fired up, managed to lead their team to victory and thus put this series in check. Luka Doncic returned to be over 40 points in this game, but again it did not help his team to reduce the difference in the series.

The Warriors only have to win one more game to punch their ticket to the NBA Finals.

While Dallas is in a situation that no other team has been able to reverse in NBA history; coming back from 0-3 in a Conference Finals.
