NBA Preseason Weekly Preview 3

We enter Week 3 of the 2023 NBA preseason, and teams continue to prepare for the regular season that begins next week.

For now, we have seen how teams are trying out different rookie players. Others are trying to get experienced players back from injuries, while other teams are simply taking minutes in preparation.

There is no doubt that in these games, giving a prediction goes beyond team squads and names. More than anything else, it is necessary to analyze how important the match is for the teams since many do not care about winning or losing in these instances.

We bring you the best games of this Week 3 of the NBA 2023 preseason.

NBA Preseason Weekly Preview 3: Pacers vs. Hawks

When:

Monday, October 16, 07:00 PM ET at Bankers Life Fieldhouse

Moneyline odds:

Pacers -125

Hawks +103

The Pacers have played two games in this 2023 NBA preseason, and they have lost both of them, so they come to this Monday night game to give their fans joy in this preseason.

Likewise, it is fair to mention that the Pacers have a rotation of up to 15 players, so this gives us a small sample that the team is trying to get the necessary pieces for the start of the regular season. On the other hand, the Pacers are coming off a 103-122 loss to the Rockets. In this game, Aaron Nesmith and Bennedict Mathurin were the only players who showed decent play.

On the other hand, the Hawks have played three times this preseason and, unlike the Pacers, have managed to win all of them. There is no doubt that things are working out very well for this team this time, but it should also be noted that the wins have come against teams like the Cavaliers, Grizzlies, and Pelicans, which also do not have a roster of dangerous players.

In their last game, the Hawks beat the Pelicans 110-105.

We expect the Pacers to play a little more offensively to get their first preseason win at home.

NBA Preseason Weekly Preview 3: Nets vs. 76ers

When:

Monday, October 16, 07:30 PM ET at Barclays Center

Moneyline odds:

Nets +109

76ers -133

Where can I watch it?

NBA League Pass

The Brooklyn Nets will play their third preseason game against one of the most competitive teams in the East. The Philadelphia 76ers, meanwhile, will be playing their third preseason game after falling twice to the Boston Celtics.

The Brooklyn Nets will try to undermine the Philadelphia 76ers’ defense, which has shown numerous deficiencies in this preseason, by taking advantage of their home-court status, the great efficiency of players like Mikal Bridges and Spencer Dinwiddie, as well as the superb ball handling of Ben Simmons. Although the game will be close from the start, the court time of these players will be crucial for their team to reach halftime with an advantage.

When scoring opportunities after their starters have left the court, the Brooklyn Nets have offered few. The Sixers, who still have quality offensive players like Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, and Kelly Jr. Oubre while playing without Embiid and Harden, could suffer from this weakness late in the game.

With that said, our winner’s chip for this game goes to the Philadelphia 76ers.

NBA Preseason Weekly Preview 3: Suns vs. Trail Blazers

When:

Monday, October 16, 10:00 PM ET at Footprint Center

Moneyline odds:

Suns -217

Trail Blazers +173

Two of the most skilled teams in the Western Conference will face off in the NBA preseason this Monday.

In this preparation time, the Phoenix Suns will play their fourth game, the second in a row, against the Portland Trail Blazers, a team they were able to demolish as visitors completely. Portland, meanwhile, will also be playing its fourth game after losing to the Utah Jazz 133-138 on Sunday, October 15.

While several of the Suns’ starters may not play, they still have several incredibly talented players who can capitalize on defensive mistakes made by the Blazers. Phoenix had everything going for them to take control from the start of the game, thanks to their excellent depth and Jusuf Nurkic’s solid play in the paint.

We saw the Suns’ incredibly productive offense dominate their recent battle. In addition to overwhelming the Blazers in the paint, the Suns’ 60% shooting from the field exposed the Blazers’ defensive shortcomings, which will likely repeat themselves at the Footprint Center, where the Suns are more successful.

We expect the Suns to maintain their excellent level of play this preseason despite being without their full complement of starters.
