NBA Weekly Preview 7 – Update

Last Updated on November 30, 2022 12:00 pm by Erwin Noguera

Every week that ends in the NBA is one week less to go before the most exciting part of the season, the playoffs, and that is why all teams begin to adjust their pieces to reach the top of their conditions to face the different games that are played in a week.

Some teams play 4 games this week, others play 3 and only Miami Heat will play 2 games. This makes each one plan in the best way possible to look for victories that will help them to be better placed within the respective conferences.

For now, we continue to enjoy two great teams fighting for the top of the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, who are separated by only 1.5 games and, both finished the previous week with a winning streak.

We must highlight the Cavaliers who are still at the top of the table, the 76ers who seem to have woken up and closed the week with 2 wins in a row, and the Miami Heat who, for the first time in the season manage to win more than 2 consecutive games.

In the Western Conference, there are no surprises, the Phoenix Suns have already taken control of the standings after winning all the games they played during the week. They are followed by the Denver Nuggets, another great team in the last seasons that still has the illusion of being the champions of the league.

Unlike previous seasons, in this 2022-23, the Western Conference is much more closely contested, and the difference between the Suns in first place and the Warriors in ninth place is only 3 games. Something very useful for the current champions, the Warriors, who, after a very slow start, have managed to win 3 consecutive games and are already close to the top of the table.

Now then, we will have the best games that we can enjoy in this week 7 of the NBA with our free picks.

NBA Weekly Preview 7 – Atlanta Hawks vs. Philadelphia 76ers

When:

Monday, November 28 at 07:00 pm ET at the Wells Fargo Center

Moneyline odds:

Hawks -118

76ers -102

Where Can I Watch it?

TNT Sports, ESPN, and NBA League Pass

The Hawks have lost 3 of the last 4 games they have played against the 76ers in the regular season, so, they hope to turn that statistic around in this game.

The Hawks can’t boast the same roster depth as in the previous two seasons when it was tough to choose between Bogdan Bogdanovich, Cam Raddish, and Kevin Herter. This is because only Bogdanovich is still with the team and has even been injured so far this season.

For now, only Trey Young has been able to carry his team’s offense with 28.6 points and 9.1 assists per game. The good news for the Hawks is that Dejounte Murray continues to be a great alternative on offense, as, so far he is averaging 21.2 and 6.9 assists per game.

Atlanta is coming off a 98-106 loss in their last home game against Miami Heat. In this game the Hawks had control of the scoreboard in the first half, but, in the second half, they were crushed by a Heat offense led by Bam Adebayo.

On the other hand, the Philadelphia 76ers come into this game with a lot of confidence after beating the Orlando Magic in a couple of opportunities at home. Despite having played these two games without their main star, James Harden, the Sixers managed to play much more collectively and showed a better face.

And we must also highlight the fact that Philadelphia is also playing without Joel Embiid, who is also injured and is a big loss for a team that depends a lot on its offensive game.

Although Embiid leads the team with 32.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, the players who are stepping up are Tyrese Maxey, who has carried his team with 22.9 points per game, and Tobias Harris who has led the Sixers to victory over the Magic with 23 and 25 points, respectively in each game.

This will be one of the most evenly-matched games this week, but, we think the absence of Harden, Embiid, and Maxey may take its toll against a Hawks team that has played well this season.

That is why our pick is a Hawks win and, we also suggest the SPREAD on the Hawks at +1.5.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Philadelphia 76ers Betting Pick: Atlanta Hawks

NBA Weekly Preview 7 – Sacramento Kings vs. Phoenix Suns

When:

Monday, November 28 at 10:00 pm ET at the Golden 1 Center

Moneyline odds:

Kings

Suns

Where Can I Watch it?

TNT Sports, ESPN, and NBA League Pass

Both teams come into this game with a lot of confidence and, above all, a high level of play. Both are fighting to be at the top of the NBA’s Western Conference and this game against a direct rival makes it that much more exciting.

The Phoenix Suns come from beating the Utah Jazz with a score of 113-112, but, the main problem that the Suns are having, despite winning their last 4 games, is their three-point shooting, since, in this last game played they shot for 27.3% in three-pointers, something that they must improve immediately if they want to have a chance against the Kings in this game.

The Suns are leading the Western Conference with a 1 game difference with the Nuggets. In their offense, they are scoring up to 114.6 points per game and with a 47.2% shooting percentage from the field. Devin Booker continues to lead his team in scoring, as he is averaging 27.1 points per game on 46.1% shooting from the field.

The Suns will be without Chris Paul, Cam Johnson, and Jae Crowder, who are on the injured list.

On the other hand, the Sacramento Kings will be looking to redeem themselves at home after suffering a crushing loss to the Celtics in their last game with a score of 104-122. Although the Kings managed to bounce back in the second quarter with some spectacular offense, they were unable to contain the Celtics and ended up falling.

Right now, the Kings are in sixth place in the Western Conference, just 2.5 games behind the first-place Suns. They have a 7-3 record in their last 10 games played and on offense, they are scoring a spectacular 119.1 points per game.

De’Aaron Fox leads the team offensively, averaging 25.1 points per game on 53% shooting from the field.

Even though the Kings have only Fox averaging over 20 points per game, their offense is second-best in the league behind only the Celtics.

If the Suns can hold up against a very good offense like the Kings, they should have no problem taking the win, which is why our pick is a win for Phoenix.

Sacramento Kings vs. Phoenix Suns Betting Pick: Phoenix Suns

NBA Weekly Preview 7 – Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks

When:

Tuesday, November 29 at 07:30 pm ET at the American Airlines Center

Moneyline odds:

Warriors

Mavericks

Where Can I Watch it?

TNT Sports, ESPN, and NBA League Pass

Although both teams have not had the desired start to the season, they know that thanks to how tight the Western Conference is, having a winning streak could make them, in the blink of an eye, at the top of the standings.

The Warriors, led by Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins, have been timidly winning games to get closer to the top of the table. Although they are indeed in ninth place in the standings and their record is 11-10, with the 3 consecutive victories they are coming into this game, they managed to get just 3 games away from first place.

Curry continues to lead his Warriors with 31.7 points and 7.1 assists per game. On the other hand, Wiggins has 19.2 points per game. The Warriors are still waiting for the awakening of Thompson and Jordan Poole to once again contend to be the champions in 2022-23.

On the other hand, we have the Dallas Mavericks, the team of Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic that is not having a good time this season. After fighting for first place in the Western Conference, they had a terrible week in which they lost all 4 games they played and, because of that, they fell to #11 in the standings.

Despite these 4 losses in a row, they are only 4 games away from first place, so if they get back to winning ways and get on a good streak, they could fight for first place again.

As expected Doncic is still at his best, leading the team with 33.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game. But, he seems to be alone on the team, as none of his teammates are scoring more than 20 points per game.

Likewise, we think the Mavericks will be able to handle the Warriors in this home game and that is why our pick is a win for the Dallas Mavericks.

Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks Betting Pick: Dallas Mavericks

NBA Weekly Preview 7 – Sacramento Kings vs. Indiana Pacers

When:

Wednesday, November 30th, 10:00 PM ET

Moneyline odds:

Kings -178

Pacers +145

Where can I watch it?:

TNT SportsESPN, and NBA League Pass

The Kings are the sixth-best team in the Western Conference, but the three straight defeats may have shaken the team’s confidence. The Pacers, visitors to this match, are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, with 12 wins and 8 losses.

The last 20 clashes between the teams favor the Pacers, who won 11 times and lost 9. Despite the recent defeats, the fact of playing at home generates greater favoritism for the Sacramento Kings, but that does not mean that the Pacers don’t have chances to surprise.

We believe in the recovery and victory of the Kings for this game. If you put $100 into the Kings’ win, you could get $49 for a total payout of $149.

Sacramento Kings vs. Indiana Pacers Betting Pick: Sacramento Kings

NBA Weekly Preview 7 – New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks

When:

Wednesday, November 30th, 10:00 PM ET at the Madison Square Garden, NY

Moneyline odds:

Knicks +186

Bucks -232

Where can I watch it?:

TNT SportsESPN, and NBA League Pass

Even having to travel to New York to face the Knicks, the Bucks are considered favorites for this clash on Wednesday due to their 14 wins in 19 games and the recent history of clashes against their opponent.

In the last 20 games between the teams, the Bucks won no less than 16 and lost only 4. The Milwaukee team has the second-highest winning percentage of the current season in the NBA and is already almost guaranteed in the playoffs.

The Knicks beat the Detroit Pistons 140-110, reaching 10th in the Eastern Conference and still dreaming of qualifying for the playoffs.

Our guess is for the Bucks to win due to their good winning streak and their performance in away matches.

If you put $100 into the Bucks’ win, you could get $43 out of a total payout of $143.

New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks Betting Pick: Milwaukee Bucks

NBA Weekly Preview 7 – Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Philadelphia 76ers

When:

Wednesday, November 30th, 07:00 PM ET at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, OH

Moneyline odds:

Cavaliers -163

76ers +133

Where can I watch it?:

TNT SportsESPN, and NBA League Pass

The Cavaliers and 76ers are having a great season, fighting for the top positions in the Eastern Conference since the beginning of the league. The Cavaliers have won 13 games and lost 8, while the 76ers have 12 wins and are ranked fifth in the same division.

In the last 20 games between the two teams, the 76ers won 14 and lost only 6. Playing as a visitor this Wednesday, the 76ers are not considered favorites, much because of the recent good performance of the Cavaliers and also for the great season that Donovan Mitchell has been doing.

Our guess is for the Cavaliers to win this matchup, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if the 76ers won, as the team has won three games in a row over the last few days.

If you put $100 into the Cavaliers’ victory, you could receive $61, out of a total payout of $161.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Betting Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers
