Last Updated on October 24, 2022 4:10 pm by Erwin Noguera

The NBA started with some surprises this season, but with the heavy favorites proving their status.

The Boston Celtics have started with a perfect march, showing that they want to reach the final again.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks are also off to a great start and will face Kevin Durant’s Brooklyn Nets.

The Los Angeles Clippers want to fight in the Western Conference and advance to the playoffs. For that, they have to follow this path and beat the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Finally, the current champions, Golden State Warriors, will visit the Phoenix Suns in search of starting to position themselves in the first place.

The Chicago Bulls had a very good start, surprising and beating the Heat in Miami, but then fell with the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers to end up with a negative record. DeMar DeRozan has been the best scorer on the team, although he had 37 and 32 points in the first two games, in the latter against the Cavs he only scored 13 and they lost by a difference of 32 points.

The Boston Celtics have been a steamroller in this start, beating the Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic, being the only team with a 3-0 record. Jayson Tatum is surprising in this start and is averaging almost 35 points per game. This Saturday against Magic he had 40 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist.

The Milwaukee Bucks have not known defeat this season after winning their two games, first against the Philadelphia 76ers (88-90) and then against the Houston Rockets (125-105). As expected, Giannis Antetokounmpo is off to a very good start, averaging 32.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.

The Brooklyn Nets gave the surprise in the first game, losing at home against the New Orleans Pelicans (108 – 130), but then they were able to pick up the pace by beating the Toronto Raptors (109 – 105). Although Kevin Durant has had good numbers when it comes to scoring (59 points), he has not been the great player that he is expected to be. This will be the first outing for the quintet.

The Oklahoma City Thunder want to improve on what they did last season, where they were one of the worst teams, and this season they haven’t started in the best way by having two losses in a row. They lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves (115-108) and Denver Nuggets (122-117), so they still don’t know what it’s like to win.

The Los Angeles Clippers want to get back to the postseason after last year’s failure, and they’re off to a great start. They were able to beat their neighbors, the Lakers, 103-97, and then the Sacramento Kings, 111-109, both playing as visitors. Now they return to their people and want to continue with that positive streak. Paul George is the figure in this beginning.

More is expected from the Phoenix Suns who beat the Dallas Mavericks very fairly (107-105) and then lost in overtime to the Portland Trail Blazers (113-111). This will be a great rival that will help measure themself and see what they are for this season. Devin Booker is averaging well over 30 points per game

The Golden State Warriors are the rival to beat after last year’s title and they started very well with a victory on the first day against the Los Angeles Lakers (123-109), but then they suffered a surprising loss versus the Denver Nuggets (123-128). Stephen Curry continues to prove his marksmanship and is averaging 33.5 points per game.
