Columbus Crew was unable to capitalize on their home form and recent good level of play and tied 1-1 against DC United. It all started with a give and take where the defenses were the protagonists, because although the attacks were very well coordinated, we have to say that they could not do any damage, so the first half ended with the score tied 0-0.

One of the most unexpected results of this matchday 7 was the crushing victory of the Vancouver Whitecaps against Toronto FC with an excellent score of 0-4. Although the Whitecaps were playing at home and were the favorites, Toronto had a great start to the season and was determined to play well.

The match started with the Whitecaps at full speed, scoring their first goal in the 6th minute through the feet of Brian White. Toronto tried to get into the match, but this was in vain, as in the 26th minute, Fafá Picault scored the 2-0 that, without a doubt, put the Canadian team between the ropes.

With a 2-0 lead on the scoreboard, the Whitecaps went to the break with great determination and confidence, while Toronto had to improve their defense if they did not want to lose.

In the second half, the home side continued their excellent pace and level of play, as they made it 4-0 thanks to goals from Ryan Gauld and Ranko Veselinovic in the 81st and 89th minutes, respectively.

Finally, the Californian derby between LAFC and LA Galaxy provided excitement from start to finish, but in the end, it was LAFC who were able to rise, make their house respected, and take the 3 points with an excellent score of 2-1.

LA Galaxy had the ball for the entire 90 minutes, but they were unable to convert that dominance into goals and thus take the victory. With 69% of possession, they were only able to shoot at goal in four opportunities.

The match started with LAFC very strong in all aspects of the game, and in the 4th minute, they managed to take the lead with a goal by Timothy Tillman. Then, the LA Galaxy, absolute masters of the ball, managed to hurt LAFC’s defense and equalized the score in the 29th minute with Julian Aude’s goal.

Six minutes later, LAFC won a foul inside the box that was awarded as a penalty and subsequently converted by Denis Bouanga.

This was LAFC’s third win of the season, while it was LA Galaxy’s first defeat in these first seven matchdays of the championship.
