In one of the surprises of the day, the New England Revolution beat FC Cincinnati away with an excellent score of 1-2. That was a truly unexpected result, considering that FC Cincinnati has been fighting toe-to-toe with Inter Miami for the Eastern Conference lead.

New England started the match with a bang as, in the 21st minute, Giacomo Vrioni scored his first goal of the night and of the team. That filled the visiting team with excitement and expectation, which continued attacking until it made it 2-0, again at the feet of Vrioni, in minute 41.

Finally, in the 65th minute, Yamil Asad scored FC Cincinnati’s only goal of the match to make up the final score.

The NY Red Bulls made their home ground respected on matchday 21, literally steamrolling over Toronto FC with a 3-0 scoreline.

While the Canadian side had possession of the ball, they couldn’t capitalize on it to create chances and score goals.

In the 29th minute, Elias Manoel scored the first goal for the home team. Then, just 2 minutes into the second half, Dennis Gjengaar extended the NY Red Bulls’ lead with a superb goal, while, in the 75th minute, Cameron Harper sealed the match with a superb strike.

One of the most interesting matches of the day was between Real Salt Lake and LA Galaxy, two teams fighting for the top of the Western Conference. After a phenomenal back-and-forth match, the Californian team managed to take the three points from the visitors, after a narrow 1-0 victory.

Real Salt Lake had the merit throughout the match to score at least once. However, the Galaxy defense did its job perfectly, repelling every dangerous chance from the home side.

After a 0-0 draw in the first half, the teams came out all guns blazing to try to take the win in the second 45 minutes. However, it was the LA Galaxy who, through Gabriel Pec in the 74th minute, managed to score the only goal of the match to take the victory.

Finally, LAFC managed to give a footballing lesson against SJ Earthquakes, to take a resounding victory with an excellent score of 6-2.

The match was a real thrashing by LAFC, especially in the first half, as they managed to score four of the six goals in the first 45 minutes.

It all started with Mateusz Bogusz’s goal in the 15th minute, which gave the team plenty of confidence for the rest of the game. Then, just 11 minutes later, Dennis Bouanga extended the score to 2-0 with a great shoot, while in the 33′ and 42′ minutes, Kei Kamara and Ryan Hollingshead scored goals three and four, respectively, to make the score 4-1 before halftime.

Starting the second half, in the 48th minute, Bogusz scored his second goal of the night to make it 5-1. Then, in the 57th minute, the visiting team tried to cut the score with Benji Kikanovic’s goal (2-5), but, this was in vain, since, in the 87th minute, Tomás Ángel Gutierrez scored the definitive 6-2.
