The fight for first place in the Eastern Conference continues to rage in MLS between Inter Miami and Cincinnati after the matchday 19. The Florida side, without Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, beat Philadelphia Union, while the Orange and Blue overcame a poor San Jose Earthquakes.
Real Salt Lake did not perform well against Montreal in Canada and only earned a point. Meanwhile, Los Angeles FC continued on a great streak with a win over Orlando City.

Although playing at home, Montreal earned a valuable point, as they managed a 0-0 draw against Real Salt Lake, one of the best teams in the 2024 MLS.
Salt Lake had possession of the ball and 17 shots, six of which were on target, but this was not enough to beat the opposing goal, guarded by Jonathan Sirois. The home side could only manage two shots inside the three posts.
With this parity, the Canadians remain outside the Eastern Conference Playoffs with 18 points but have three matches without losing. Real Salt Lake has 34 in the West.

Despite no longer having Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez due to being called up for the Copa América, Inter Miami won 2-1 away against the Philadelphia Union.
However, the home team took the lead in just three minutes after Mikael Uhre was alone in front of the goal and fired a cross-shot into the net. In the 47th minute, Benjamin Cremaschi found Julian Gressel, who shot inside the left post, while in stoppage time (90+4′) Leo Afonso turned it around with a shot inside the left post.
Inter leads the East with 38 points, while Philadelphia Union is in the Play-In with 20.

Orlando City continues its poor form in MLS this season and now lost 3-1 against Los Angeles FC at home.
The Florida team came close to taking the lead, but Facundo Torres missed a penalty kick at 34′. But, in the same way, Denis Bouanga scored for the visitors before the end of the first half (45′).
With an assist from Luis Fernando Muriel, MartÃn Ojeda equalized at 69′ for Orlando, but the Californians scored at 80′ with Mateusz Bogusz, who fired a powerful shot against goalkeeper Mason Stajduhar’s post. Bouanga closed the scoring at 85′, leaving three opponents, including the goalkeeper, on the ground.
Los Angeles FC have six wins in a row and are second in the West with 33 points, while Orlando is second to last in the East with a poor 17-point campaign.

Cincinnati showed what their offensive power is all about with a 4-2 away win over San Jose Earthquakes in MLS.
All the scoring came in the second half, with Pavel Bucha opening the account at 53′ when he stole a ball from the rival and inflated the net. Four minutes later Hernán López equalized and in the 72nd minute, Cristian Espinoza turned it around for the home team. But the Orange and Blue counted on a great moment from Yuya Kubo.
Between 78′ and 80′, midfielder Luciano Acosta set him up twice for the comeback, while the last came at 87′, keeping the ball until the defense gave him the space to score at the left post. It was a hat-trick in 10 minutes for the Japanese.
Cincinnati is second in the East with 36 points and San Jose is last in the West with only 11.
