Why Bet on Tigres?
Tigres’ momentum at the end of the season was better, and even though they were one point behind Monterrey, the first leg now brings them a chance to carry their momentum. They have not lost in any of their last four games. In addition, the last two ended in landslide victories against Necaxa (5-2) and Tijuana (4-1).Â
They scored 34 goals and took 23 during the regular season, so we expect them to be aggressive and go for a clear win here, but they have to make sure their defense is on par.
The team’s last championship came amid a season with pretty low points, especially at the round-robin, so they come with hope as they have the blood of champions.
Why Bet on Monterrey?
Monterrey will have to play their best here to stop any opportunity for Tigres to get ahead, and then, finish them off at home in the second leg. However, that may be easier said than done.
They fell in the semifinals of the Concachampions 2024 against Columbus Crew. In general, the last weeks have been terrible for the team, who found an oasis by beating Messi’s Inter Miami, amid the Argentinean injury problems. However, they won just one of their last five Liga MX matches. Their only win was on matchday 17, where they steam-rolled Necaxa.
The team landed 32 goals and took 19 in their season, so their positive goal-scoring and defensive numbers make up their issues a little, boasting the third-best GD in the division.
Final Betting Analysis:Â Tigres vs. Monterrey
A new edition of the Clásico Regio will make the North of Mexico vibrate, as their encounters on the Liguilla always have a special feeling. In the last 20 matches between the two, Tigres has the upper hand with eight wins, while four games went to Monterrey, and there were eight ties.
In the historic record, Tigres also comes on top, with 49 wins to Monterrey’s 44.Meanwhile, in their regular season clash, they got a dramatic 3-3 draw.
Both teams’ levels are on par and have been pretty irregular this season. We believe the result from their first match this season will repeat, but this time 2-2. Go for a draw.
Go for a tie at 3.68. If you go for a draw at such odds, you could get $268,for a total payout of $368.
