This weekend, an unconvincing Monterrey will host a much-needed Querétaro in the fourth round of the Apertura MX 2024.
The Rayados, despite their recent 0-1 win over Necaxa, have yet to show much strength and will be hoping to do so in front of their fans.
Meanwhile, the White Roosters know nothing more than defeat, so they will be looking for their first points in the championship.

Why Bet on Monterrey?
By roster, Monterrey is one of the best teams in Mexican soccer, but the results at the beginning of the tournament show the opposite. The irony is that they won both away games by 0-1 against Pachuca and Necaxa, the most recent one, and lost at home versus Cruz Azul, being crushed by 0-4.
Undoubtedly, that was a very hard blow, as they were playing against another of the title contenders, and losing in such a way, in front of their fans, was a wake-up call. On Wednesday, they recovered from that defeat and beat Necaxa with a solitary goal by Jordi Cortizo.
However, it should be remembered that the Rayados’ star signing, Spaniard Óliver Torres, has not yet been able to play. The midfielder is recovering from a shoulder injury, although he has already trained with his teammates this week and could be called up for Saturday. Torres, 29, who has played for Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Porto, and Sevilla, has not played since April 22 and has not scored a goal since October 8, 2022.
Much is expected of what the Spanish duo of Torres and Sergio Canales can do, and fans are also excited about the possible arrival of Orbelín Pineda to La Pandilla. The 28-year-old midfielder is an international with the Mexican national team and plays for AEK Athens in Greece.
Why Bet on Querétaro?
Querétaro was hoping not to suffer like the previous tournament when it qualified for the playoffs on the last day, but it seems this will not be possible. Three games for the team and three defeats: Tijuana (1-2), América (3-1), and Guadalajara (0-2). It is the only team in the championship without points.
Coach Mauro Gerk has brought in up to ten reinforcements, but they are not making a difference. Old acquaintances like Federico Lértora, Martín Río, or Samuel Sosa are the best players.
The big problem for the Gallos Blancos has been in the attack, and during the matches, they have several goal opportunities but have not been able to score. Against Tijuana, they scored due to a mistake by the defense, while versus América, it was a good goal.
Adding the previous championship, they have now gone seven games without a win, losing on five occasions, and in one of the ties, they lost on penalties.
Final Betting Analysis: Monterrey vs. Querétaro
The last time these teams met was on January 24 of this year, in the same stadium, and it ended 1-1 with goals from Brandon Vázquez for Rayados and Ettson Calderón for Querétaro. The last two matches ended in a draw, but Monterrey is unbeaten in five games with two wins.
The numbers at Gambyl Exchange have Monterrey as the favorite. Their Moneyline shows 1.42, Querétaro has 6.25, and the draw is at 4.20.
Although Monterrey’s level has not been the best, with what they have done, they should be able to overcome Querétaro, who has shown nothing and has no signs of improvement. Go for a 2-0.
Go for a win for Monterrey. If you bet $100 at 1.42, you will gain $42 for a total payout of $142.
