Atlas and Santos Laguna know what is to be Liga MX champions in a not-so-distant past, but now face a difficult moment with the obligation to win.
The Foxes come from losing to Pachuca in the best game from the last matchday. They let go of an advantage of two goals obtained before the 10th minute of the game.
The ‘Comarca’ won convincingly against Puebla on the last matchday, but that was their first triumph of the season, so they should build on that.

Why bet on Atlas?
Since their excellent double a couple of years ago, Atlas has been terrible. In the blink of an eye, the players seem to have lost all willingness to win, and they have a solitary qualification to the postseason since then. The Spanish Beñat San José was appointed this season to make a change. However, the young manager with plenty of experience in “exotic” leagues is a controversial choice. His only experience in Mexico was with Mazatlan, and he lost his job, leaving the ‘Cañoneros’ in 14th place.
The last match was a roller-coaster that crashed in the face of the Zorros. They started with two goals from Zaldívar and Aguirre in the first ten minutes. However, the ‘Tuzos’ woke up and, before halftime, they had already turned the score around with a Salomon Rondón double and an annotation by Gutiérrez. Lozano got the draw for Atlas but, again in injury time, Pachuca sealed the 4-3.
That was a great hit for the team, who had the chance of getting two wins in a row for the first time in a long time after beating Juarez and let it go.
Why bet on Santos Laguna?
Santos Laguna is always a competent second-line option for the title, with their last trophy coming in 2018. However, they have quite some time without a distinguished performance in the league and, even if they reach the playoffs frequently, end up falling early.
Their last game was a good 3-0 beating of Puebla, with goals from Preciado, Carrillo, and Vergara. Both teams had a similar performance in terms of dangerous occasions, but the ‘Comarca’ was simply better and more solid. However, as said before, this is their first win of the season after a couple of losses and a draw, although it’s fair to say that the schedule has been pretty punishing, having to face León, Monterrey, and Chivas already.
A win here could help them climb many positions at the table, so they must give their all to surprise the locals.
Atlas vs. Santos Laguna – Final Betting Analysis
Neither of these teams has been convincing, and both have been terrible visitors, just accumulating one point from five games between the two. They have faced 48 times, with Santos getting the upper hand from 21 wins, while Atlas has 12 triumphs, and 15 matches were tied. In the last seven games between them, there has been a win for each one. The rest were draws, including the last two.
In recent times, they have not been particularly adept at hurting each other, so we’ll go for a draw, particularly, a 0-0.
Go for a tie at 3.26. If you bet $100 at such odds, you could get $226 for a total payout of $326.
