We begin this summary with the match between Tigres and Puebla, two teams that, although they have had a completely different tournament, gave us a game full of emotions from start to finish.
Tigres, as the home and favorite team, dominated practically the entire game at will. However, they had some problems of effectiveness in their attack, for which reason they had to settle for a 1-0 victory.
The usual player, André-Pierre Gignac, scored the only goal of the match at minute 16′. From that moment on, Tigres had more scoring chances, but the Puebla defense proved to be consistent, preventing each of their attacks.
In the end, the feline squad took the three points and remained four points behind Cruz Azul.

One of the surprises of the day was Monterrey when they lost away from home to Atlético San Luis with a score of 0-1.
However, we cannot say it was a terrible surprise, as San Luis has been playing much better in recent weeks. However, everything pointed to the fact that Los Rayados could have a certain advantage totake the three points in this matchday 11.
Monterrey dominated the match with possession and scoring chances. However, they only had one shot on goal, which left them without any options to open the score sheet.
On the other hand, San Luis took advantage of a mistake in Monterrey’s defense shortly before the end of the first half. Specifically, at minute 41′, Ricardo Chávez Soto scored the only goal of the match and, in the end, the one that gave the three points to the local team.
Result: San Luis (1) – (0) Monterrey

Cruz Azul delivered in this home match against Necaxa and managed to win with a solid 3-0 score. There is no doubt that we were expecting this performance from the Cementeros, who have proven to be the best team in this Apertura MX 2024.
Things started extremely well for Cruz Azul at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, as they took the lead in the 8th minute thanks to a goal by Alexis Gutiérrez. However, things got much better 10 minutes later, as Carlos Rotondi put the score at 2-0 with a great goal to give his team peace of mind in less than 20 minutes.
Although the match went quiet after Cruz Azul’s second goal, Lorenzo Faravelli scored the definitive 3-0 in the 63rd minute to bring the curtain down on the game with just under 30 minutes to play.

Finally, in an exceptional match full of excitement from start to finish, Toluca and Pumas drew 1-1 to share the spoils on Matchday 11.
The fireworks began to sound from the start of the match, as the first play of the game for Pumas ended with a goal by César Huertas in the 1st minute.
Although this left Toluca, playing at home in front of their fans, a little shaken, it did not dampen their spirits. The home side held firm in the following minutes and, in the 24th minute, managed to equalize thanks to a goal by João Paulo Dias Fernandes.
From this point on, we had a somewhat boring match, where Pumas was the team that was able to propose more and deserved the victory. However, Toluca’s defense held out, and in the end, the points were shared.
Result: Toluca (1) – (1) Pumas UNAM
