LaLiga Matchday Betting Favorites

This is it, the final matchday in the LaLiga season, and we come here to realize that things have wrapped up already. Nothing will change either on the top of the table or the bottom. These last few games are a mere formality, but let’s dive into them for one last trip in this Spanish season.

Barcelona, Girona, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Club, Real Sociedad, and Real Betis take the spots that lead into the Champions, Europa League, and Conference League spots. When it comes to the teams at the bottom, Almeria and Granada were sealed to relegation long ago, and Cadiz’s hopes died on their most recent match, as they are now four points away from climbing out.

The teams in the middle could switch places around, but it doesn’t do much for them, so we are instead going to focus on the matches we believe to be the most interesting.

Things are looking good for a Champions League-bound Girona as they welcome relegated Granada to Montilivi on Friday.

Michel’s men are guaranteed to finish in the bronze medal position in the rankings, while their demoted foes can only hope to avoid finishing bottom of the pile en route to the second tier.

Being four points adrift of Barcelona while boasting a buffer of five over Atletico Madrid, the hosts will endeavor to avoid losing back-to-back La Liga home matches for the first time in the current campaign.

Friday’s visitors are going down waving the white flag too, as they have been sent packing 2-1 by Rayo Vallecano and Celta Vigo recently – succumbing to strikes from Jorgen Strand Larsen and Jonathan Bamba against the latter. They occupy a dismal 19th place in the table.

Sandoval’s men cannot earn the consolation prize of pipping Cadiz to 18th place. While they are three points better off than basement side Almeria, their identical head-to-head points and goal tallies mean that Granada could still be bumped down to last place on goal difference.

We are expecting the hosts to get the win.

Real Sociedad look back on their last three matches with six points to show for their efforts. Against Barcelona, they were left empty-handed in a 2-0 defeat, but they avenged themselves by beating Valencia 1-0. They followed that up with a 0-2 win against Real Betis in their most recent outing.

Despite losing their latest game, results have generally been decent recently for Atletico Madrid. They first took out Celta Vigo by 1-0 before downing Getafe by 0-3. The winning streak ended against Osasuna, who ran out 1-4 winners.

With Real Sociedad Hosting and nothing else to fight for, we are expecting this to be an interesting match as both teams play to enjoy one last time on the field this season. We’ll the hosts to win by a slight margin.

The top team is refusing to take a rest day on their laurels since ripping the LaLiga crown out of Barcelona’s grasp, and they have scored at least four goals for the third league match running in last weekend’s encounter with Villarreal. They previously put Alaves and Granada to the sword in a merciless fashion.

Betis will have more modest European aspirations in mind for the 2024-25 campaign, having failed in their quest to rejoin the Europa League table for the fourth season running. A first foray into the Europa Conference League stage awaits Los Verdiblancos next term.

Recent battles between Real Madrid and Real Betis have often been close-run affairs. Nevertheless, with Betis arriving at the Bernabeu much worse for wear due to their hefty list of absentees, a full-strength Los Blancos side should make light work of them either way, ensuring that their morale stores will be at maximum for their Dortmund date.

Real Madrid vs. Real Betis Betting Pick: Real Madrid

LaLiga Matchday 38: Sevilla vs. Barcelona

Barcelona will visit the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday night having already surrendered their title as Spanish league champions. At least, Xavi’s troops have booked their place in next season’s Champions League and can’tbe overtaken by third-placed Girona.

While the Catalan side have nothing more to play for, they should aim to continue their excellent form and end the season with another victory.

Sevilla have been through three managers this season to help them march up the LaLiga table. However, Quique Sánchez Flores hasn’t been entirely successful, especially of late, as his side is on a three-game run of defeats, one to already-relegated Cadiz.

The Rojiblancos can’t count on home-ground advantage, as they’ve lost more than they’ve won in their backyard

With the hosts on quite a disastrous streak and Barcelona looking good, we expect the visitors to take the three points here.
