For the first time in history a Tour event will come to one of the courses designed by the legendary Tiger Woods, since the World Wide Technology Championship 2023 will be held at El Cardonal, which opened its doors in 2014 and was in charge of TGR, company of the legendary golfer from the United States.
After a two-year domination by Norwegian Viktor Hovland, American Russell Henley clinched it in 2022, beating compatriot Brian Harman with a card of 261 goals, -26 under par.

Where can I watch it?
Sweden’s Ludvig Ã…berg is the great favorite to win the trophy in Baja California, despite the fact that he is only 23 years old and turned professional this year.
So far he has one elite win in his career and has been in the Top 10 twice in the last year in PGA Tour events. The only impact trophy he has on his resume is the Omega European Masters, which he lifted from compatriot Alexander Björk by a margin of two strokes.Â
Although it is no longer such an important level, in his country he won on two other occasions, once the Katrineholm Open and on another occasion the Barsebäck Resort Masters.
In the list of candidates is the American Cameron Young, who has two great professional victories, which were the AdventHealth Championship and the Evans Scholars Invitational.
He is currently ranked 16th in the world, has six subtitles in his career and has a total of eight podium finishes.

This year he finished seventh in the Masters and eighth in The Open Championship, so he has had a good run in the important moments of 2023.
We must also talk about Sahith Theegala, a 25-year-old American who has been a professional since 2020, accumulating more than 10 million dollars in prize money.
In September this year he won the most important title of his career, which is the Fortinet Championship, beating South Korea’s Kim Seong-hyeon in the end, with -21 under par.
He also finished in ninth place at the Masters, a tournament where 43-year-old veteran Lucas Glover finished in 30th place.
The American is on the list of favorites, especially because he is one of the few participants who have won a major, since he conquered the US Open in 2009.
Glover, thanks to his experience, reached the FedEx St. Jude Championship in 2023, by beating in the playoff one of the best in golf this year, his compatriot Patrick Cantlay.
Finally, there are two more names to mention, the Argentine Emiliano Grillo and the German Stephan Jaeger.
Grillo was tenth recently in the ZOZO Championship, but this year he won a championship, winning the Charles Schwab Challenge against American Adam Schenk. He also finished sixth at The Open Championship.
Jaeger has been a professional since 2012 and since 2021 he has not been able to shout champion, since the last trophy he lifted was Emerald Coast Classic, beating David Lipsky.
The total prize money for this year is 8.2 million dollars, of which 1.4 million dollars will go to the winner of the trophy.
